| My granddaughter just got home from Disney World (U.S.A.). I didn't go with her this time - but she had a wonderful time! My husband and I took her to DW 3 years ago and you are exactly right - the look on the face is PRICELESS!!!!! She was 6 at the time and I said that maybe she was too young because she wouldn't remember it. My husband said, "Yes, she's young, but if we wait, she won't want to ride and do everything with me." I realized right then and there, that the trip was as much for him as it was for her. He rode every ride with her, Dumbo, It's a Small World, Peter Pan - every single one and I wouldn't trade those memories for anything in the world!

Let me give you a tip that will really impress you: In the Magic Kingdom, Toon Town opens an hour after the rest of the park. Get there 30 minutes before it opens and stand there and wait. When it opens, the characters come out and greet the kids--the MAIN characters that there is usually a HUGE line to see for 3 seconds. She'll have the chance to do really fun stuff with them that she wouldn't have just out in the park. In the times we've done this, Taylor has been pushed around Toon Town in her stroller by Eeyore, held hands and skipped around the park with Tigger, been escorted in (after being snatched from my arms ) by Cinderella, and rode in the front seat of the Goofy Roller Coaster with Goofy himself! Do you know what a big shot a 5 year old feels like when they are riding up front with Goofy and all of the other kids are pointing and shouting and waving!? Trust me, it is WELL worth the wait. | |
