Matchbox 20 and Train...in the cold, pouring rain, when I was sick as a dog and had no business sitting in it. But hey, I would hang from the rafters by my toenails to see either of them. :p Hmmm, a close second would have to be Def Leppard. |

Oh wow this is fun! Lets see, The last concert I went to was last year. The Inland invasion. The brought back some 80's bands a few new ones. Missing Persons (my all time favorite 80's band!) Devo, Flock of Seagulls, David Bowie,,,, Arrow Smith! YES that was a very good one. Too much fun! Ozz Fest, every year but this last one. Seen lots of different band every year. Most remembered was,, kitty & Slip knot they were awesome live! Nsync (twice) these were nice ones. It was just me and my daughter. Oh how she loved them. And still does. She still listens to their CD's KROQ weenie roast, I think it was 94, and 98 Disco Night reunion, This was another cool one! Destines Child Kieth Sweat, with Al B Sure, Expose There is so many more, But my first concert was KISS when I was like 10 or so. My aunt took all us kids to go see kiss, (7 of my cousins including me and my brother) we thought we were all bad. I will always remember that night. |

I've been to too many to remember them all! These days I'm kinda over it, and so we don't go very much any more. As they say, if it was a REALLY good concert, you shouldn't remember it!! ;) Some of the highlights that I do recall... First Concert ever: The Band, Alvin Lee & Ten Years After, Rod Stewart NJ Last Concert: Bruce Springsteen, NJ When I lived in Pittsburgh - Peter Frampton, ZZ Top, Fleetwood Mac and The Cars because of the music; Black Sabbath because of the brawl that broke out on the floor after the show; David Bowie because of all the colorful cross-dressers in the audience ; Styx, because of the theatrics of the Grand Illusion tour; Aerosmith because of my date and the van ride to the concert ;) ; Pink Floyd because of how messed up one of my friends was.... When I lived in the South East: BB King, Buddy Guy, The Police, Mo Day and the Time, Talking Heads, REM, Bonnie Raitt because of the music; Alabama because they played in a bar in Myrtle Beach and passed a hat for their pay-who knew what was to become!; Willie Nelson because my date got busted for smoking pot with the stranger that sat behind him ; Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band because I met them in a bar the night before and they gave me tickets!; Lynard Skynard because of the fatal flight after they left that concert; Marshall Tucker Band because it was in a field on a mangrove island in the middle of the FL Keys-great music AND fun, Peter Tosh because we were cruisin' on a riverboat in New Orleans -which reminds me of the two Heritage and Jazz Festivals I went to and all the concerts there... And in the North East: Matchbox 20, Edwin McCaine, The Stones, Allman Brothers, B52s all stand out, but we saw concerts just about every weekend when we lived in Altlantic City and I just can't remember them all. Oddly enough I remember an outdoor concert where Bruce Springsteen drove up in a pink Cadillac, jumped up on the stage and played with a band, but I don't remember the band! Also have seen a lot of great comedians 'in concert' and The Dead more times than I can count when I dated a Dead Head. Wow! That was a fun trip down Memory Lane!! I'll be remembering more concerts and smiling all day now! |

I didn't speak to him, but he was sitting at a table across from me with his band or crew or whatever, and he seemed like a genuinely nice person. |

Grateful Dead when I was only 10 years old James Taylor at the Jazz Fest when I was 16 (in the pouring rain!) Dave Matthews Band (I got to go backstage and meet them!!!) My first concert, and I am embarrassed to say, was Amy Grant.... I went with my mom... |
Okay, I wasn't going to say anything BUT I got to work with Donny a number of times when I was doing the Marketing for the Chevrolet Raceshop and I got to spend a lot of private time with him - when he was just being himself. He was in a number of our celebrity races and he was very involved with the children's charity program (Starlight Foundation) we did with Chevy Dealers. Donnie is one of those people who is exactly how he is on TV - one of the sweetest, nicest guys I have ever met. He is also a very touchy (always hugging and kissing people), kind of guy who really enjoys people. I have enjoyed watching him around his beautiful wife and their belief that their marriage is a true partnership. The real beauty of Donny is what is in his heart but it sure doesn't hurt to be so good looking. I love Donny :) |
