1. My first concert ever was Neil Diamond, I was 8 (in 1988). I loved it, He's amazing he sang for like 3 hours. 2. Micheal W. Smith D.C. Talk opened 3. Newsboys, very cool 4. Pearl Jam in '98 In Chicago it was like a greatest hits concert the were recording for live on two legs. Tickets sold out in 15minutes, my mom went and got me the tickets cause I had to work. I didn't even like Pearl Jam got them for my boyfriend who dumped me before the concert. I went anyway and now I totally love them 5. Woodstock '99 Rome, NY. Anyone you can imagine was there. I did not get naked, raped, or set any fires. James Brown opened. Korn & Metallica were amazing. 6. The Perfect Circle or Tool can't remember at Louisville I think. Husband big fan, not really my kinda music 7. Merry Mayhem Tour, Louisville. Rob Zombie absolutely incredible, Ozzy Osborne definite let down 8. Family Values Tour Indianapolis no idea what year, but STP closed, they were pretty good. That's all I can think of. Saw 3rd eye Blind & some other small bands while at Purdue. |
Jimney...I've been to hundreds...I don't know if I remember my favorite...may have inhaled  I can tell you the venue, but the years are fuzzy  Loved - 1. Pearl Jam - Va Beach Amplitheatre 2. Dave Mathews - before Crash made him a star. Btw, we use to see him for FREE at a friday night gig they have here. Won a party bus trip once too. 3. Don Henley - Scope, Intelos Amplitheatre 4. Boz Scaggs - Va Beach Amplitheatre 5. Toad the Wet Spocket - The boathouse...which was the divest venue in the world...I loved that place 6. John Mayer - The norva, Intelos Amplitheatre 7. Collective Soul - Boathouse, The norva 8. Jimmy Buffet - Everywhere 9. Melissa Etheridge - if ya get the chance...do not miss this woman - Intelos 10. Lyle Lovett - Intelos 11. Supertramp - Hampton Coliseum 12. REO Speedwagon - Richmond Coliseum - Friend went w/ us...didn't have a ticket...sold out...so she says I'll just wait at this bar and come back and pick you guys up. So the show is great and we're thinking it's too bad she missed it. Get to the car...she didn't miss it...someone saw her walking away w/o a ticket...gave her BACK stage passes...she watched from the dang stage  13. Have seen Counting Crows 3 times. I give up...they are awful in concert. Once Adam Durwitz was so drunk...he LAID down on the stage, no kidding. I've seen the Eagles 1/2 dozen times or better. In the 70's they toured...we went...the opening act was some guy named Jimmy Buffet...no one had heard of him  First concert at 15......begged my parents to let me go for weeks. Bachman Turner Overdrive. Get there...sold out...not calling my parents and telling them that. Bought ticket from a scrapper...paid 14 bucks :D Think the original price was 5-7 a piece |

I don't have that many memorable ones...but here's a few 1. U2 in Chicago at the Aragon Theatre ( I was standing right in front of them and touched Bono's boot...I love him! ) 2. Melissa Etheridge concert in Chicago. (We had mediocre first row balcony seats when during the concert, the lights went out and when they came up, a Stage had risen in the middle of the theatre with Melissa on it right in front of us...the whole back of the theatre went nuts...screaming... both girls and guys were fainting right and left...literally...it was SO FUN! (Well, not the fainting but you get my drift) 3. Tracy Chapman at the House of Blues in Chicago...she is just so cool... Francie |
Mine would have to be 1. Jimmy Buffet 2. Shania Twain 3. JoDee Messina |
I only have one memorable concert. " Alan Jackson " My now husband and a bunch of friends went to this concert. At the time Stephen (my husband) and I were just friends. We spent alot of time together and were great friends and so all our friends always picked on us and swore that we were sleeping with each other.... Well at this concert we both got a little tore up and started dancing... that led to kissing..... that led to making out the whole way home from the concert in our DD's van with all our friends watching......and now were married... GREAT CONCERT Crystal |
