| I have some sort of custom job from The PC Club, my nephew did all the “geek” talk. All I know is it has an on and off button and is fast. Certain things are just not need to know for me. However, this dang mouse that I purchased a few years ago from Big Lots is taking a dump. What a rip, $5.99 and it only lasted a few years. Anyone have the addy for Consumer Affairs? |

| Heh well after what I said about going to an Intel based mac... Work just ordered me a MacBook Pro! So it looks like I'll be taking the plunge . Cisco released a Universal binary of their VPN client as well as Timbuktu. Only thing I'm waiting on is the Apple Remote Desktop Admin software (wont run under Rosetta). Seeing as how much of my work is via SSH on the servers I should be ok. ARD Admin better come out soon though! I have a workaround until it does. |

| I have a 17-inch Gateway laptop - great for viewing, but it is a bit heavy to lug. Work - has always been Mac desktops -- but they wanted to upgrade me to a laptop & the system we use to do our work is not currently compatible with the Mac, so shock of all shocks they had to go PC for some of us & the bought me the cutest little Gateway. I tend to use it now at home & definitely for traveling because it's lighter especially because its cd reader is a separate component -- and that sits in my desk at work for the most part.

| MacBook, IMAC, and a Dell. We don't really like Dell, but hubby uses it for work stuff and another one very old that hubby uses for Linux stuff (I'm have no idea what linux is, but I see him on it sometimes)

| I just purchased a new Macbook 13 inch 2 GB of Memory and 250 GB Hard Drive I have a Toshiba Satellite 17 inch which is falling apart on me... as we speak. The screen is literally hanging on by a thread and it is constantly crashing. I don't think that it is Toshiba's fault... I am just rough on computers and this one has been a work horse for quite a few years. I chose an Apple this time, due to all the favorable reviews I have read here on YT and elsewhere. I decided on the Macbook vs. the Macbook Pro because of the hefty price of the Macbook Pro and I am the type of person who likes to update my computer every few years with the advancement of technology. Does anyone here have a review of the Macbook vs. Macbook Pro that they care to share? Mine has not arrived yet, so I really do not have any first hand information, but would love to hear what you think. Thanks |
