I have had Cingular since Cingular was BellSouth Mobility and since BellSouth Mobility was United States Cellular. If Cingular looks at my record, I have had their service (or the service that Cingular bought out) in my area now since 1997. That's a good 9 years. I'd say I haven't had THAT many problems with them. I am now on combined billing, which means that I get my home phone bill and my cellular phone bill all on one bill and save a few bucks that way, but it also means that the people in the stores here in town can't do a thing for me when it comes to my plan. I have to call my home phone company (which is BellSouth - who actually owns Cingular) and find out what the new plans are thru them. They are in charge of my plans and my contracts now. LOL I find that fairly funny. Anyway, it's not that big of a deal unless you're one of those people that have to add to or change your plan all the time. I'm not so it's not that big of a deal for me. I did just upgrade my phone for the first time in a while (at least thru Cingular), I usually just buy whatever phone I want online and make sure it's unlocked, plug in my SIM card and away I go. I got the Motorola SLVR and love it!

Can't complain about Cingular service in my area. I'm also on a Nationwide plan with like 450 minutes a month, but free mobile to mobile (everyone I know is on Cingular), 5000 night and weekend minutes and free long distance for like $39.95 which turns out to be around $50.00 with all the taxes.
