| Think this is a scam??? Ok, I got a phone call at work the other day, the guy asked for me, he said he was from aspire visa (a card that I have) It was really hard to understand him, well he said that I was overdue on my account and I had to pay three thousand dollars. (Tree tousand dolla) I said what my credit limit isn't even that high? he said no tree dolla, again I repeated and said three dollars, then he said no eight seven dolla. I told him I was having a hard time understanding him and that my account isn't over due. He said yeah it is you pay by check today. I said no I won't . He kept telling me You Overdue you pay. I said first I can't even understand you, and he hung up on me. So I called my credit card company and they said that they had no record of anyone calling me. I said well someone did and they had my information from their company. he said well what do you want me to do? I was amazed he wasn't anymore help, I said it was an international call because that is what it said on the caller id. he said he was in puerto rico, and they are not allowed to make out going calls? I have no clue what is going on, I am going to pay my bill off on friday and close that account. It was creepy. Then again yesterday another call and this time it was a lady, I told her that I wouldn't give her any information and she said well we already have all your bank information. I told her that I called the credit card company and they had no record. she said well they wouldn't because it was a dialer? Not sure what that means, She tried to get me to give her money too but I didn't I said I will pay the bill when it comes in the mail or on line I wasnt going to do it over the phone. Then I told her that I was having trouble logging in on the net and she couldn't help me. so that was strange too. What do you all think?? Melissa |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | If it were me I would call your card companies and have them put a hold on the accts if you think they have your card info. They should be willing to transfer the acct to a new one and close the bad ones out. At least when I worked for a bank for 7 years that is what we offered to people. I'm sorry your going through this. Unfortunatly they (scammers) will go through anything to get your info. Just remember that the bank will never ask for your card # they will ask for your phone password and mothers maiden name but ONLY if you call them. Best of luck!!

| I had the same problem with my Chase account. I got a strange call from a forgin (SP) guy too... weird. I called Chase and asked to speak to the fraud department. I reported the problem, they checked my account, no odd activity and they suggested that I notify my bank too. I did, but I also closed my account with Chase to be on the safe side. I have not gotten any more calls, but I am a real witch with a B to deal with on the phone when it comes to these types of calls, I think he may be to scared to call back!!!

| I can't believe the amount of scammers out there! This is no doubt a scam and get that credit card closed out. Good grief...they didn't even offer you any help when you called them, even in knowing someone was claiming to be them. Amazing how these scammers keep going like a duracell battery!

| Most (if not all) credit cards have a fraud limit of $50, so if someone charged more than that, you won't have to pay the bill. I think I would call the fraud dept and see if there has been any suspicious activity. If not, I think I would not worry about it, as they probably don't have your card no. You were very smart to be suspicious. |

| Another thing they will do is call with all you information and then ask you to confirm by giving them the security number on the back. Once they have that, they can go to town with your credit card number!
