I'm obsessed with colors. Like clothes, crayons, etc. The all have to be in spectrum order, light to dark. Anytime I am around crayons, I stop and put them in order.
Also, this is hard to explain, but things have to be even. Like, if I twist my ring 3 times clockwise, I have to twist it 3 times counter clockwise. If I brush my hair on the left side 5 times, I have to bruch it 5 times on the right. If chew 8 times on one side of my mouth, I chew 8 times on the other...I try not to think about that one though...that could REALLY drive you nuts.

OCD is an anxiety disorder in which the brain gets stuck on a particular thought or urge and can't let go. OCD manifests itself in obsessive thinking or beliefs that tell a child: "If you don't do X, then something uncomfortable or even life-threatening will happen."

Did any of you guys see the episode of True Life I have OCD on MTV about a month or two ago. It was really wierd and there are some crazy things that people have to do just to satisfy themselves. There was this one girl and if she was walking by and she bumped into something with her left leg then she had to touch it to her right leg too. She was at a counselors (sp) and she was going out of the room and she bumped the chair with her left leg and she turned around to touch it to her right leg and he mad her leave without doing it. When she got into the hall she started frieking out bc she couldnt touch it. Anyways it was really wierd to watch but some of these things on here reminded me of that show!

Here is a FEW of mine, I'm sure I'll have more..

Can't go to bed with dishes in the sink.
Trash cans have to be picked up immediately when the trash guys leave. I can't stand when neighbors grass is lower than mine.

Do you have kids???????????? Cause I use to be this way - but I had to give in with 3 kids, pets and hubby- I really have 4 kids if you know what I mean. AS time as passed I have gotten alot less anal. My family use to be in the car waiting to go to church while I made sure everything was in place. It is a big family joke - MOM has to start a load of laundry and vacuum before we go anywhere. My daughter says her memories of jr high is coming home from school and me saying " Darn- now you kids are going to mess up the vacuum lines"- ok reality ck- I'm trying not to be like that anymore- only the kids don't live here now so they don't know that I am different-hehe

Ok my only big peeve right now- I hate all the clutter by the phone!!!!!!! I just bought a big basket and now I have everything in it.

No, NO kids, and that is exactly what my Mom has said, If I had kis I wouldn't have the time or energy to be so anal,and I believe it, since even having Bailey, I notice some of the things I use to obsess over don't matter anymore, or as much, so I totally get what you're saying. But no kids so I guess this is me,, maybe I need more Yorkies, that's a thought.HMMMM.

WOW!!! As I read through this I was nodding and in agreement with just about all of them!! (Except your list Mone't! I rarely meet food I won't eat!

) Kinda scary to see that there are so many!

The things I don't do is change the paper in other peoples houses, (has to be over at MY house though!!) and I don't bother with fringe only because I don't have any. Maybe I should go buy something with it so I can add another obsession to my list!!

And one thing I don't think I saw above... flossing!! I have to have those little Dentek flosser pics with me at all times!! In every bathroom in the house and in my purse/car/desk at work I keep them with my Oral B Brushups and use them constantly.

Ahhhh... so little time, so many obsessions...

I have a wicker box with a lid by the phone, and that way it's outa sight, outa mind.... the big papers and stuff go into a rolltop desk for the same reason... and the downstairs computer is in an armoire... the remotes have their own decorative box... and....

Oh Lordy, another obsession!!!

I gotta stop reading this thread, I'm getting to many ideas!! Maybe I'll go buy something with some fringe before the snow storm hits!

Okay Im OCD with food. I get cravings for something and I will have to eat it all week long until I pretty much hate it

Im also weird with numbers with different things. When it comes to decorating my house or anything else I dont like 2 or 4 of anything. I prefer 1,3, or 5. When it comes to my savings accounts, they have to have an even amount of money in increaments of 10(preferably increaments of 50). For example if my bank pays me interest and my account is 980.04 then I will have to transfer 19.6 to get it to a nice number that I like.
I used to do everything 7 times.

I wish I had cleaning OCD problems but I dont. Basically my house will get so messy that I just get overwelmed and then I dont want to deal with the siutation whatsoever. I'll leave the house instead and go shopping or run errands.
