This really really gets to me!! I worked in a day care center - in the infant room - where we had the joy of knowing one little girl from the time she was six weeks old! She was a happy chubby little baby and was really just starting to explore her world when at 7 months her mother, little brother - in a car seat - and a couple of other people were going somewhere. Well I guess they didn't have time to make two trips or get another car or just NOT go - she decided it would be alright for her 13 year old niece to hold her in the FRONT seat and they were hit!! The baby is the only one who died!!We all took it soooo hard!! Then someone had the nerve to say that she saved that 13 year old's life because she took the impact I go crazy when I see people get into cars and not put babies in the proper restraints!! I was just in a car accident myself - minor - but my daughter hurt her back some and I hurt my neck and we WERE absolutely wearing our seatbelts - it could have been so much worse without them!! Take the time put your kids in belts, seats, boosters - SOMETHING and don't let anyone under 12 or under 80 pounds sit in front!!

That is so horrible. Thank you for sharing that story, I'm sure it was so hard on you. People need to learn that it's not okay, even if it's just for a 5 minute trip. That must weigh so heavy on that 13 year old's mind. I wonder how the father took it all. Do you know if they're still together?

According to that site DFCS (department of Child and Family services) said they can't say who they're investigating, if anyone. The police were called over there, but according to them they can't do much unless an officer saw it with his own eyes. But the police that went to their house were treated with autographs, a tour, and pictures with her.

Just read something interesting on a baby website... it seems that Britney Spears has not one but TWO car seats for her son and both of them are top of the line. SO, wouldnt you think since she has 2 of the best car seats for her son that she would at least use them?!?!?!?!

Actually that doesn't really surprise me at all. Many people with alot of money have no problem using it on things they don't plan on using or use very little. She probably just thinks she's being cute or showing him off. She's not known for being very bright.

On ET tonight, they had a video showing WHEN Miss Thang purchased the car seats. It was NOT before he was born. Her driver placed all her purchases, car seats included in her car. Driver open the back door for Brittney, she climbed in with the baby in her arms, no car seat, shuts the door. Perhaps no one she knows in Alambama ever used a car seat.....

That is horrible. Someone needs to have a serious talk with that girl. She just must think that she's untouchable because she's Britney Spears and can do whatever she wants. Just like Lindsay Lohan and her speeding problem Or Michael Jackson dangling his baby. Why don't cops do their jobs instead of asking for autographs and pictures?

I also think there must be stricker laws against the paparazzi, they are truly out of control, which would mean that the stars need to protect themselves even more and avoid dangerous situations. Here are more pics! In the one attached there is no doubt that she is smiling! Afraid for her child's life my a**. The paparazzi can be pretty sleazy but I don't think they were in this case, I don't see a hoard of people around her care and she looks like they're having a great time as if it's a fun ride. Not too bright. I want to state again to people- USE your carseat and Britney Spears is a BAD example!

It's sad to see how the police handle this incident. People, especially someone like Britney Spears, will never learn unless there are serious consequences. I thought in situation like this, CPS would remove the child during the investigation. I bet Britney Spears think she was being cute and that she can get away with anything. I guess nobody tell her otherwise, not to her face anyway. Well, someone should for the sake of the child. I sure hope the CPS would do their job better. We should not have to wait until a child is actually hurt to take action.
