I agree. BR had what, 2 or 3 turnovers?! Those were huge mistakes on the Steelers part- giving the other team the ball, and they didn't maximize their opportunites. I take all of the criticism of the refs with a grain of salt... beleive me- I heard about every unfair call on the Steelers during the close Colts game. You see criticism where you want it. I agree, there were bad calls on both sides. Enough to really affect the game?? I'm not sure about that. Eveyone could see the affect that the Steeler's last TD had on the other team- the commentators even mentioned it. They lost their "umph" and the Steelers gained theirs. It's just as much about physical ability as it is state of mind. | |

| We had 6 adults watching the game, none of which really cared who won, we were just watching for the commercials. None of us thought that TD was good, esspecially in slow motion where he took the ball out from under him and placed it over the line WAY after he was down. It think it was a really bad call. |

| OK!! Here is my input!!!! Neither team was playing like it was a super bowl game at all!!!! I have watched every Steelers game this year because I am surrounded by their fans here! (UUGGHHH) Ben is a fabulous QB, but last night he did not show that side of him!!!! ANd as for Seattle, the way they played last night, heck my Cleveland Browns could have beat them!!! LOL! But the officiating was terrible on both sides! I think they should all be fired!!HAha!!! OH well, maybe next year we can see a real Super Bowl game!!!! ANd I was rooting for the Seahawks!!!! Just my opinion!!!!

| I'm not trying to fight. Like I said, I really didn't care who won. I was just offering my view. The White Sox got a bunch of calls in their favor in their world series against the astros and of course I defended them til death do us part and I expect you guys to do the same

| I agree that it was the most boring superbowl ever. Next year maybe they will have two-hand touch football. Everyone at our party left before it was over and we didn't really watch it. I don't like football much anymore, it seems like there are too many rules and it doesn't seem very black or white anymore. |

| No the Haws did not bring their best game, yes they made many costly mistakes on their own, but in my opinion that does not excuse the officiating...Had the MAJOR CALLS I mentioned not been made I would accept the loss with as much grace, as my home team themselves are...BUT THEY WERE NOT OUT PLAYED...They outgained the Steelers by 57 more yards, they had 6 more first downs...There were only 3 plays on which they ran, played the ball better than the Hawks, if it had not been for the officiating I do not believe this would have beem true...In the end it is the result that matters and Pittsburg won, but it was not for their artistry or skill so much as their damn luck...Congrats to them on that though!

| I didn't see that much of the game but I did see the first touchdown and that was a bad call. I congratulated the winner on this thread because I though they were the better team and I thought they would win BUT being what sports is today and the amount of money riding on the game and the odds in Vegas I'm sure were with the Steelers I'm not about to think that those guys in the stripe shirts couldn't have been paid off big time.

| Refs-smefs.....they just add entertainment value and give everyone something to talk about after the game! Did anyone see that pass that Heinz Ward caught....now come on that was great football! |

| I am about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, so of course I hoped they would win. I am no sports fan and never watched more than 10 minutes of any football game. I watched about 85% of this one and wasn't impressed with either team. It was crazy around here though! Actually the kids had school off Monday due to the Super Bowl and my husband (and a lot of others) had work off for the same reason! It's all anyone talks about....a lot of them saying the same thing....it really wasn't that great of a game. |
