| I don't know how clearly I'll explain it, but here goes... There is a grid/box of 9 squares by 9 squares, within which are 9- 3x3 boxes. For each box, row, and collumn, you need the numbers 1-9, but the number can't be repeated in any row, box or column. You can try it out online at www.go-sudoku.com I just made myself bored with my explanation, but it's actually a lot of fun, and a great way to pass away the hours at work! |

| LOL Just tell Kristy that it looks like one of those grids that they make up when betting on the Super Bowl and she'll understand! hehehe I'm numerically challenged so I haven't even cared to try it, but hubby enjoys them. To me it's to much like math homework. Give me word games any day!

Susan - I checked it out I suck at these kind of games, but I am going to give it my best shot.

| HAHAHAHA!!!!! I KNEW you would be all over it!! Judging from your array of avatars, me thinks you're more like me.... People either use the logical 'math/science' side of the brain, or the creative 'language/arts' side of the brain. (See-I can't even remember if it is the right side or left side. ) BTW- my mom's a big Steelers fan so for her sake I hope they win. Otherwise my sports theory is 'highlights at 11'. I do like the halftime shows, though. Especially cool when JJ showed her boob. I was wondering if I really saw what I thought I saw, and hubby was all excited about the 'PR value' of it!

| I love Sudoku. I went out this week and got a harder book and it was too hard!! I had to get on-line and see if I could find some ideas to help me out. I do 2-3 every morning and a couple more through the day. The harder ones really have had me stumped, but I enjoy the challenge. Hooked, that's me!!

| What the heck??? Stewies Mom - Either I need to take the Evely Woodard speed reading course, or you need to slow down your avatar!! All I can read out of it is something to do with "loving stinky butt"! What does it say? Just curious. Suz

| Yes, I've been playing Sudoku for a bit, but I'm just curious, when you do medium or hard Sudoku boards, do you basically just end up guessing? Like when you have two squares and you know that they will be either 1 or 4, and basically you can't eliminate 1 or 4 by any logical reasoning. What do you do then? In the example above, I've also done "possible numbers" for all the remaining squares, and I still can't eliminate 1 or 4. |

| Count me as an addict! My gf got me into it and now I have 2 books I am working in. It's great for anyone who cannot do the crosswords because it does not need you to know any thing; all you need is logic. I don't want to assume but hopefully you are equipped with that at least. Plus I suck at crosswords...

I like the harder Sudoku. I bought a Sudoku for Dummies and it's a little harder and has some hints on how to find some of the harder to find numbers. Also, you can get help on-line just search for it.

Ha! Ha! That's always been my problem with the crosswords- I always know a few (probably the "give-away" ones!) and then I can't do anything else. I think I'm the creative brain Sherry Lynn was talking about! I was in a Gifted and Enrichment program in elementary school, and we used to do the logic boards. Sudoku reminds me of them, and I used to love them! | |
