What do you do for a living? If your a stay-at-home mom, career professional, nurse, firefighter, taxicab driver, a full time breeder or whatever, please tell us what you do. Also, do you enjoy it? If so or if not, why? We wanna know! I am a Accounts Recievable collector. Basically I make sure clients, such as banks, businesses, etc. (no personal accounts), pay their late bills! :D I really like what I do because I enjoy the chase and I DO get the money (the companys money). :p So, what do you do??? |
I am a researcher at the University of Florida Infectious Disease and Pathology department. I'm currently trying to get into medical school. If that doesn't work out, I might try selling heroin. |
Cool! I love finding out what people do. Besides talking about Yorkies and reading all I can about Yorkies, and looking at Yorkies, and dreaming about Yorkies...I am a Registered Nurse. I coordinate clinical trials at a large pediatrician practice. It is never boring and always interesting and I get to meet lots of nice families and bond with them. I usually get to be their personal nurse for at least 18 months to 2 years! |

I am a stay-at-home mom and I own an online store. I like it a lot because I am able to work from home and I am my own boss, but it takes A LOT of discipline and organization. I am always pretty busy and it can get stressful sometimes juggling all of my responsibilities with my work and then being active in my son's school and then taking care of the house! I only sleep about 5 hours a night  |
I am a registered nurse, currently working in high risk labor and delivery. I work in a major teaching hospital with a large referral base, so we cover a little over a third of NC and get everything high risk and premature. I really enjoy it, for the most part. It is quite stressful at times, especially I am in charge on most everyday I am work. My background in nursing is varied over the past 11 years, from emergency department/trauma, to neonatal intensive care, to a stint in management to my favorite before a neck injury...critical care transport, helicopter and all!!! :D My hubby is a police officer, now patrolling the hospital campus where I work. Much safer and BETTER pay!! We have a son just turned 5 on the 24th :) and Jolene, our two year old yorkie. :aimeeyork We live just outside Greenville NC, in a town called Winterville. |
These are great responses! We have such a diverse group of people with really interesting jobs! :) I love things like this... You just never know to whom you may be speaking with... Thanks to everyone who has posted so far! :D Come on everyone... let's hear about you too! :) |
I am a stay-at-home mom to an 8 month old baby girl & 11 month old yorkie baby! :D I am currently taking online classes to finish my degree in Accounting. :) |

OMG! I just laughed so hard when I read this that I honestly almost pee'd my pants. Seriously...you would think I'd seen a possum or something! |
I currently work for a company that does defense contracting (software and services) for the military and government (federal and local). I love my job! Especially compared to some of the others I've had. Before that I was an Opthalmic Tech/Surgical Asst. Before that I was an International Wire Specialist and Translator. |
I work part-time 30-31hrs in 3 days, the other 4 days I am a stay-at-home mom. I work for a large local car dealership doing the scanning of all the service & tire department repair orders, and work out of 1 of the used car lots, so I also do the window stickers for the used cars & I am also there runner if they need anything anywhere. I love what I do, as it is alot less stressful than when I am at home. The other 4 days I spend with the beautiful little girl in my avatar. She is 3 yrs old & the absolute light of my life, Mandi. :) Desiree :) |
