Roasted sweet potatoes with homemade chicken and garlic ravioli, in a garlic butter sauce, with wilted baby spinach... YUM! :D

That's funny :D Buy yourself a cookbook, I could cook zilch when I first met hubby, but I could read and follow instructions ;)

well, just gotta tell you that my porkchop dinner went A ok... he just loved it so much... made a nice salad with it and au gratin potates...i did real good.
he kept telling me around 8or9 times how delicious the food was...
i felt good...now he really likes me .. a way to a mans heart is through his stomach...

Well this inspired me to COOK,, so last night I started to make homemade sauce, and invited my Mom and her husband and BF over tonight for dinner.. I'm not sure it it's gonna be lasagna or spaghetti, probably be spaghetti, easier, So last night I made the sauce, and got stuff ready for a big salad, and made Platinumyorkies, jello!
But after all that,, I ended up making some onion rings in the oven,,, NICE! Yep, that was dinner. :( :rolleyes:
Tonight will be better. :thumbup:

I dont know how much you like to cook but on Thursday im making homemade chicken and noodles. I take my chicken legs and cook them in 1 can chicken broth and 1/2cup water in the crock pot on low for about 6-7 hours and than i take the chicken out and debone it. I put it back in the broth and add my homemade egg noodles (you can use store bought)LOL and cook it on high for another 1.5-2 hours.until the noodles are done and its thicked up. I make that and rolls and a veggie usually. I LOVE the crockpot, its so easy and you dont have to sit and watch dinner alot. I always meake stuff int he crockpot..whole made beef stew, chili, pot roast, turkey breast.. its great! Just thought id throw out some ideas LOL :D :D :D .

I cant believe I forgot my ultime favorite..Spagetti and meatballs with salad and a vegetable.(my kids love veggies but not salad) LOL and garlic bread..

Your chicken and noodles sound YUMMY, I might have to try that. Sounds real good now,, I'm cold, and that sounds so good and warmning. Comfort food.

Make enough for tonight and tomorrow you can have leftovers. And let me tell ya....were I just cooking for ME...onion rings would suit me just fine for dinner ;)

I did buy cook books, then I gave them all away! I get stuck on here, helping with homework or on the phone, and by the time I remember to check the oven, it's burnt. :(
My Nanny never let me in the kitchen. When we told my Mom we were going to get married (25 years ago) She asked my husband why he wanted to marry me, I don't cook, clean or do windows!!! LOL He married me anyway, and got me a housekeeper. :) :) :)

I'm a firm believer in Jerry Hall's (Mick Jagger's ex) philosophy...."men want three things in a woman....a maid in living room, a cook in the kitchen, and a "fill in the blank" (so I don't get edited) in the bedroom. And I can hire someone for the first too" ;)

And we did! Just not a cook! I'll have to work on that one. Our housekeeper only comes three times a week, she's done by 3:00, so the cooking is up to me. :(

Three times a week?!?!?!? Any chance this gal's commute includes a border? I tell ya what...if something ever happens to hubby....and I remarry....I'm getting a wife. I don't care if she runs around on me with men, long as that house is clean, the laundry put away, and my supper's sitting on the table when I get home :p

How about stuffed peppers and white rice. we are always looking for something thats not the same old dinner. Thats what i came up with since its also easy to make.

Leftover Shepherd's pie made by a terrific guy who likes to make dinner for me and can't seem to control serving sizes. Teens have no problem devouring leftovers and anything else not movin' too fast to eat.
Those yorkies can scramble when they gotta...

No Border, She's here M/W/F and down the street at my friends house T/TH.
I do help her, we have 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. There's no way I can do it all by myself. My Husband is a contractor, we own Davidson's Construction.
He's always adding on to this place, because I refuse to move. When we bought this house it was small, only three bedrooms. But with five kids, we needed more room. :)

You don't have to give me any explainations about helping her. When I had maids, I dang sure didn't help...that's what I was paying them for...LOL. On second thought, perhaps I should've helped....cause both of mine quit cleaning houses....maybe we were too piggy :eek:

I wish that I could get a maid so bad but my husband says its stupid to pay someone to do it when I can do it! The problem is we live in a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house and my hubby refuses just to use one bathroom he has to use all three of them everyweek just so I will have to clean them all!!!

Do what I did....convince hubby to live in filth. Ha, ok some my house really isn't THAT bad, but if you drop food on the floor....throw it away, I'll get 'cha another
