Good for them. We have that arrest policy too and likewise apparently only for repeat offenders so far. I say first time, you do cell time is what it's going to take to get most of these numbnuts to realize they've got to take the distancing rules seriously before cases spike further and further and our medical providers just give out from stress, risk, overwork! Every one of them I've seen on TV working the front lines look utterly exhausted. They are truly heroes!

Kentucky's governor has been very tough and I'm glad because I believe he is keeping the numbers down. Yesterday he ordered no leaving the state unless a need for urgent medical assistance or work. (We live right on the border with Cincinnati, OH.) I am sure many of you also have governors such as this too. Governor Beshear talks everyday at 5. It reminds me of the fireside chats during WW!!.

Are y'all getting everyday updates also?

I don’t normally use sprays in the house either. I put the pets in another room close off a room spray that room let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes then crack a window and use a fan, or the bathroom and kitchen fan to ventilate and remove most of the smell. You have to be careful using bleach even in solution for anything metal because it will cause it to prematurely corrode.

When I order groceries from Amazon, when the bags come I open them on the porch spray Lysol in them because all the food is wrapped, seal the bags back up, spray the outside of the bags, and wait a half hour. Then I unpack the bags on the porch and bring the food inside and put it away and very importantly when it’s all put away I wash my hands thoroughly.

I do just about the same thing with carry out but thinking about it we haven’t been ordering carry out hardly at all out of an abundance of caution.

So far, it’s just one case here

This virus is so prevalent and so quickly spreading that by the time tests come in positive those people have already exposed hundreds to thousands of others without knowing it. That is why it is so important to self quarantine because you don’t know if anybody you know has it and they very well could with no symptoms and you don’t know if you have it so by quarantining yourself you won’t be exposing other people so everybody needs to stay in.

Our gov just went from a suggested stay at home to a mandatory stay at home policy yesterday. All nonessential employees stay home my husband has to work and my son believe it or not my husband is in carpet delivery and my son delivers construction materials to site. Can somebody tell me Why these industries are essential at this time other than building materials for maybe building hospitals but carpet and floor covering come on risking lives for the almighty dollar.

Sorry for the lack of punctuation and run on sentences but I’ve been using my microphone a lot because I’m too lazy to type and I can talk faster than what I type LOL

I just got my first grocery delivery this past Saturday, our supermarkets use a outside delivery service called instacart, they are nation wide (so says their website) I used latex gloves to carry the bags in and take the items out, then stood there saying to Cody, I pray my shopper used latex gloves. The darkened above is an excellent solution to my concern and will be using your method the next time I order. I do have Lysol spray, I used it once after cooking, I hate, hate, hate the lingering smell of food after I eat especially if I use onions. I did put Cody in the bed room, washed all his bowls, put them in a plastic bag, put that bag in another room then used the spray.Poof, no more stinky smell, but I let him out after 15 minutes later, but did not open any windows, anyway I was sooooo uncomfortable with using the spray, I haven't used it since, I have been opening my kitchen window and living room windows (cross ventilation) to get some of he food smell out and freezing for 15 minutes.
I stopping calling for pizza and such delivery as soon as it was released about this virus and I hate cooking. Now I am forced to .

For odors, try leaving 1/2 cup of white vinegar out on the counter in a small bowl or cup. It will remove any odors in the air. Then toss it down the sink to deodorize it.

About food itself, cooking will kill corona virus. For uncooked food, I wash everything prior to eating it in a tub of fresh dishwater with dish soap. Dawn original, not anything antibacterial as they don’t rinse off completely.
Actually, a doctor said on TV if you do eat corona virus, the stomach contents will kill it. Just don’t get any in your nose. I will continue to wash my food though, lol. My hands get washed as I wash any cold veggies so good to go. I take them right from the fridge to the sink so I don’t have to keep wiping the counter off. I’m soooo lazy. Lol.

I have to be careful what I use in the house. I love a bit of the carpet freshener powder, till my DH came in from work one day and his eyes swelled shut. He can’t even mow the lawn.

Just wanted to add that the virus can last up to 3-5 days on packaging depending on humidity and such, so I throw all bags and boxes away immediately, outside, then wash my hands and arms to the elbow. Just most important to wash after handling new stuff, from any stores, and leave boxes outside, or disinfect them if you need to keep for any reason.

I have a gallon of white vinegar, I use it on weeds no more "Round Up". I would rather smell vinegar then cooked onions. Such GREAT tips, Thank you, I will be using all of them

Today I just heard this virus stays on money for 2 days, 5 days on the soles of shoes (from ppl spitting on ground).
