| Freaking the HECK OUT! So, it's not yet confirmed but pretty much every single model as of 8am this morning is showing new Hurricane Irma hitting Miami, FL direct on as a category 4 hurricane. Right now it is a category 5 and it may stay that way or get even stronger because it has so much warm open ocean to still pass through before it gets to us. I'm honestly most scared for my babies. I'm going out today and getting another carrier so I can have them in there and not loose as I'm scared any sudden walls falling or pieces of roof being ripped off may scare them and they will run away. I've also made sure all their tags and shots + records are up to date and in my possession just in case of evacuation. I survived Hurricane Andrew but I was only 5 months old at the time and its been 25 years since a storm of that strength has hit us directly like Irma is threatening to do. I'm having anxiety attacks like no other, lol. I will try to keep everyone posted on what it's like down here. We're supposed to be hit Saturday, Sunday and early Monday. There's already no food or water in most places and the governor has declared Florida in a state of emergency. We need prayers down here!

| Prayers we can give you. I wish there was more we could do. It sounds like you are prepared so hopefully the damage will be minimal

| I have a friend in Ft. Lauderdale, she's stocked up on water and candles. When we get tornado warnings I keep Cody's harness on him with his leash attached to the belt of my jeans. If I land in Kansas so will he. Carries are a terrific idea. Prayers going out to you and the fur babies.

| Is it possible for you to evacuate ahead of the storm hitting? Then, whether it is catastrophic or just a bad storm you will all be safe and out of its path. Wishing you well. |

| I am scared for you (and your three little ones) too! I saw on the news that all the roads are gridlocked. Is there an evacuation plan going on? Maybe you should also get one of those bigger dog backpacks, in case you cannot carry three carriers? Praying for you and everyone in the area. Be safe. I also wish there's more we could do...
