Thank you Lynzy for the update. Very sad news and we feel so bad for her and her loved ones. Thoughts and prayers for dear Priscilla, please get well, and dont let this horrible disease beat you. |
Continued prayers for Priscilla, sent out a prayer request to my ladies at the church also. |
Thank you ladies for keeping us updated on Pricilla. I have been thinking about her a lot since I read the news of her illness yesterday. I know she is one heck of a strong gal and with the help from a great team of medical staff she can pull through this. Hoping for a turn around in her progress soon. Sending out good thoughts and prayers !! |
I'm so very sorry to hear about what Priscilla's going through. Sending positive thoughts to her, bf and family - and I hope she starts making progress soon. |
oh my goodness so sorry to read this latest update, I am thinking and praying for her many times each day, hang in there girl we know you are a fighter. |
Oh no, that was the kind of update I was starting to expect after no update yesterday. :( Has the fluid in her lungs cleared up at all? That's very scary to read. :( Priscilla has so many people here who love her, it genuinely makes me feel sick in my stomach seeing such an awesome woman in such a tough fight at such a young age. I never knew pancreatitis could be so awful. |

Priscilla Yes I can see that questions are not the thing to ask of Liam at this point. He must be so devastated watching his loved one in this state. Thank God that she is young, strong and, up until now, healthy, and hopefully has the will and strength to overcome this tragic illness. We all have to keep the faith and trust in the medics and prayers. |
Sending prayers. |
Liams (that's how he spells it) texted last night & yes, Priscilla still needs lots of prayers. I had offered help with the dogs but he replied that he "needed them". Poor Liams. I'm going to text him now & see if we could start sending cards. xoxo |

Thank you for keeping us informed on how our Priscilla is doing. Praying she starts to show improvement with all the care she is receiving. Prayers to all of her loved ones and to our sweet friend. |
Just a little clarification.... NG tubes are often passed in patients with pancreatitis. It is not to bypass the pancreas, because food does not go through the pancreas. The purpose is to let the pancreas rest. The pancreas aids in digestion and also produces insulin. I doubt they are feeding her through a tube...the tube was probably inserted due to her having problems with nausea and vomiting. I think since she has been so ill, it is going to take a bit of time for the pancreas to recover from the inflammation. My guess is she is on IVs and pain meds....and no food for now. I have seen patients in the hospital for up to 2-3 weeks with pancreatitis. It is an extremely painful condition. The first thing she will have at some point will be clear liquids...but that will not happen until her amylase and lipase are showing some improvement (which would indicate the pancreas is recovering). |
GI system Lynzy said that another tube was being inserted to provide Priscilla with nourishment and bypass the pancreas. She could have an NG tube in her stomach to remove the contents and ease the pancreas. Another tube could also be inserted into the small intestine past the common duct for feeding? Is this a possibility? Thank you. |
