Lisa, thank you for the updates. Dottie, I was reading up on pancreatitis in humans last night and found that what Lisa has been able to share with us about Priscilla is how an acute attack progresses and is treated. Praying for Priscilla and Liam. Get better, my friend. |

Priscilla Thank you Lisa, you have been so kind to be the go between to keep us informed about Priscilla, and I am sure we all so appreciate your efforts and updates. Sorry to expect you to have answers to all our queries. I am sorry that you are no longer able to speak with Priscilla, and poor Liam must be so upset and scared seeing her like this. I suppose it is just so difficult for us to understand how such a young, lively and healthy young women could get to this stage so quickly. We want her to get better and our comments arise from that thinking. I also have read up a lot about canine and human pancreatitis and it appears that if it is Pancreatitis alone, it can be treated, if caught early enough, by conventional means and close observation and care. It is the causes and complications that seem to result in the kind of news we have heard about poor Priscilla. If the P is allowed to progress to the severe stage, lung and other organs can be involved. We heard that her lungs and breathing need support and who knows what other organs are sick. Sometimes the gall bladder is involved, but we don't know. But these are just my thoughts and hopefully they are not relevant to Priscilla's case., and that with care and time she will get better. So thank you for all you have done for Priscilla and us here on YT. We will continue to think of her and pray she will overcome this disease soon. |
I just want to send out positive thoughts and prayers for Priscilla and her family. |

I just received a text and it looks very "bad", it has been a week and has no improvement, they just introduced another tube to bypass the pancreas and feed her. She needs our prayers, and if your not a prayer person please send all the good thoughts and healing vibes you can. We all know she is a tough cookie, Priscilla has to fight this..... |

Thank you ladies for keeping us updated on Pricilla. I have been thinking about her a lot since I read the news of her illness yesterday. I know she is one heck of a strong gal and with the help from a great team of medical staff she can pull through this. Hoping for a turn around in her progress soon. Sending out good thoughts and prayers !! |
I'm so very sorry to hear about what Priscilla's going through. Sending positive thoughts to her, bf and family - and I hope she starts making progress soon. |
oh my goodness so sorry to read this latest update, I am thinking and praying for her many times each day, hang in there girl we know you are a fighter. |
Oh no, that was the kind of update I was starting to expect after no update yesterday. :( Has the fluid in her lungs cleared up at all? That's very scary to read. :( Priscilla has so many people here who love her, it genuinely makes me feel sick in my stomach seeing such an awesome woman in such a tough fight at such a young age. I never knew pancreatitis could be so awful. |

Priscilla Yes I can see that questions are not the thing to ask of Liam at this point. He must be so devastated watching his loved one in this state. Thank God that she is young, strong and, up until now, healthy, and hopefully has the will and strength to overcome this tragic illness. We all have to keep the faith and trust in the medics and prayers. |
Sending prayers. |
Liams (that's how he spells it) texted last night & yes, Priscilla still needs lots of prayers. I had offered help with the dogs but he replied that he "needed them". Poor Liams. I'm going to text him now & see if we could start sending cards. xoxo |

Thank you for keeping us informed on how our Priscilla is doing. Praying she starts to show improvement with all the care she is receiving. Prayers to all of her loved ones and to our sweet friend. |
Just a little clarification.... NG tubes are often passed in patients with pancreatitis. It is not to bypass the pancreas, because food does not go through the pancreas. The purpose is to let the pancreas rest. The pancreas aids in digestion and also produces insulin. I doubt they are feeding her through a tube...the tube was probably inserted due to her having problems with nausea and vomiting. I think since she has been so ill, it is going to take a bit of time for the pancreas to recover from the inflammation. My guess is she is on IVs and pain meds....and no food for now. I have seen patients in the hospital for up to 2-3 weeks with pancreatitis. It is an extremely painful condition. The first thing she will have at some point will be clear liquids...but that will not happen until her amylase and lipase are showing some improvement (which would indicate the pancreas is recovering). |
GI system Lynzy said that another tube was being inserted to provide Priscilla with nourishment and bypass the pancreas. She could have an NG tube in her stomach to remove the contents and ease the pancreas. Another tube could also be inserted into the small intestine past the common duct for feeding? Is this a possibility? Thank you. |
