| I think it is fun to go, but we have filled up our house so any purchase has to be very exciting. On a different note, I am co-chair of our church's gigantic rummage sale and have been doing this for about 8 years (co-chairing). I love to see people shop. I do have to say that every year we see a couple people that I consider junk drunk. They will do about anything to get a bargain. lol.

| I'm going to an 80's festival tomorrow evening. I bought a pink sweatshirt at goodwill for $3, and then bought letters at JoAnns with my coupon for $4.33, and viola, I have something to wear for less than $8!!! Black jeans & Dr. martens I already own

I would love to see some of the baby clothes you are changing into dog clothes. I bet they are beautiful. It wasn't too long ago that you were teaching yourself how to sew Donna.

| Oh I love antiquing and thrift store shopping. We have gotten a lot of deals since we moved here. Lots of vintage and antiques to be found here in Vegas. Our best score to date so far was a tufted leather ottoman from a thrift store for $25. I looked up the maker Michael Amini and it was on Wayfair for $1200 (I think?). Now I see it here, same price. We just love collecting antique furniture. We don't really go to estate sales though. They are always advertised as estate sales and you get there and it's a yard sale at a trailer on a dirt lot or something.

| We are living in the Grand Rapids, MI area now. We will sell our place in NC after one more winter there. One great thing about the GR area is the huge secondary market. We've been to garage sales and Goodwill just about every day since we got here last Sunday. DH got a dehumidifier for the basement for 10 dollars, so he is happy. I found some books for my DIL. I also found a vintage mother of pearl brooch shaped like a shoe for 50 cents! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I'm another huge fan of Goodwill, I've been decorating with silver lately, and was looking for some to add to the pictures I have on the wall, just different size platters and such. I found one interesting piece and when I was cleaning it found out it was sterling, I did an online search and found the exact same platter lasted for $300.00. So exciting! Even the silver plate is really lovely, but I guess a lot of people don't care for it because it does need a little polish now and then. I'm one of those who think tarnish can be beautiful!

In Western NC, it was very hard to get good fresh produce. Here it is abundant. | |
