Thank you all for the congratulations and the good wishes. I am very excited. I plan on being present as much as possible for every new pregnancy experience and every milestone for these next 7 months. I cant wait !

My grandson has a 6 mo. old and it took me a while to let anyone know that I am now a 50 something yr. old Great Grand Mother! Lol, it already has, but being so it is so early and we don't know the sex of the baby it limits my shopping to just the necessities and natural colors.

That's so funny . . my daughter as good as she was with my day care kids throughout the years she has never once changed a diaper. She would scream and go running out of the room as if I would toss a dirty diaper her way. (lol and I did). So sure I'll do it, I've got 30 yrs worth of dirty diaper changes under my belt so Im an old PRo. and I will be changing lots of them too since I am their first choice as a sitter. I can wait to have my grandbaby 5 to 6 hrs a day . . .

My momma loved to sew for the grand kids. I have all of Sammi's baby blankets to pass down to her. Should make a nice shower gift if she has a little girl. If not I guess that is where my job begins. No grandbaby of mine will go without at least one hand made blanket to cuddle with. Its a trait that has been passed down for four generations. I learned so much from my mom and I know that if she were here she wouldn't waist any time getting her embroidery machine up and running. God I miss her !!

i never expected to be a grandmother this early. We has always figured that the wedding would come first like we have always stressed to her how important having all of your ducks in a row is when preparing to bring a child into the world is but it is what it is and i guess those ducks will just have to figure it out as they go along. I am thankful that she has found a wonderful caring man that loves her and that they are in a very loving, committed relationship. We have already accepted her bf into our crazy family so there is no turning back now. Having a happy healthy baby is more important than a ring on her finger and i have no doubt that marriage will come when they are ready for it.

The coffee mug was one of my christmas gifts and how they shared the news with me.... And she posted a very cute fb post on christmas day after telling the family that said.

"there goes our silent nights . . Baby hartzog due in august"

I was thinking of your mama and how hard I know the holidays have been for you this year and I am so happy to hear about this special blessing for your family, the cycle of life and the turning of seasons never ceases to amaze me. Alyssa thank you, and yes they have been tough for me as for so many of our YT members who have also lost loved ones recently. With the news it was a bit brighter, I was able to take my mind off of my loss and find some Joy.
