| Infant abduction.... My daughter just sent me a text stating the hospital she's in just announced over their speaker system an infant was abducted by a ma. He placed the baby in a duffle bag and fled. I hope it's a mistake..... that poor mom. I'll be watching the news later to see if it was true or some sort of mistake.

| How awful! Praying for that situation and that if it's true, cops can quickly stop that man.

| Even when there is an alarm system in place...if the person wants a baby bad enough they can still steal one, hospitals usually don't have a lockdown system where doors will usually lock in such event...All that happens is that alarms will go off and if you have a good description of the thief then you can try to stop them at exits but whose to say that they wont have a gun and start shooting, such a crazy world we live in....all we can do is be vigilant and educate mom on not giving her baby to just anyone and to make sure that it is staff that is taking baby. I work NICU and even though we are a locked unit, this has always been one of my biggest fear.

| Oh my goodness! I never let my girls leave my sight after I had them. They were in the room with me at all times and if they needed to go to the nursery for tests either DH or I would go with them. How sad and scary, I hope the baby is recovered soon and is safe!
