IPhone 6 and 6+ Anyone have one in hand already? I pre ordered Friday the 19th because it was time for an upgrade and my antique iphone4 has been acting weird lately (dialing contacts whole I'm talking to someone else, cutting off a call and going to old txt messages.etc) I ordered the 6 plus and am second guessing my decision. I am afraid it's going to be too big. Just thought I would see if anyone has seen them in person yet. I might make a trip out of town to see them so I can change my order if need be. |
I went Saturday and looked at them. I thought I was going to have to order one but I was surprised when I went to two Verizon stores and a Best Buy,they both had them available......and there was no line at all. I've never been a "phone" person but I finally wanted to get a phone so my kids can get a hold of me when I'm not at home. This is my first smart phone so I'm having to learn all the workings on it now..... it's a bit overwhelming at times for me (but fun too). :) When I saw the Iphone 6 plus I thought it was just tooooo big to carry around. I selected the 6 in gold & white. I love it!!!...My son has a larger phone ( not a Iphone) and he loves his, he had to get the larger one because he practically lives on his phone. He says he almost never uses his at home computer anymore. Since I don't do that the smaller phone was fine for me. |
Tough decision. I am ready for an upgrade and can't decide. I think the plus will be too big for me (purse & pocket) but it has longer battery life. will probably just get the 6 |
I never get on my laptop I always use my iPad. That's my tough issue. I never get on internet with my iPhone 4 the screen is just too tiny. I think I just need to go into AT&T and look at them in person. We don't have a best buy and I will use my phone for internet browsing and texting the most. I rarely make a phone call and I carry huge purses so that won't be an issue. I don't tend to put my current phone in my pocket either. |
I got a samsung galaxy my last update And it's a bigger screen. I love it. I think you will be very happy with your decision. :). Love my iPad and hardly ever use my laptop |
I'm getting the iPhone 6, the regular one, not the Plus. I went to Best Buy last night and I think the Plus would just be too big for me. But I also have an iPad and a Macbook that I use. They were sold out for AT&T at best buy last night. But I'm hoping to get in this week so I do the trade-in deal where I give my iPhone 5 and get like $200 or something. |

I have a MacBook Pro I use exclusively for internet and no iPad so was also wondering about getting the larger 6+. I would like to know which one you decide to get and how it is compared to the iPhone 4...and most of all how it is to get used to. |
So... I'm just curious... What do you guys like about iphone over other phones (such as galaxy, HTC, Droid, etc...)? One major reason that I hear is because it's "easier" to use/operate compared to the others. I'm sure there are other reasons... Could you share your reason for iphone preference? |

I'm wrestling with the same thing. I don't necessarily need a larger display, but the 6 plus has a couple features I really like. Its video camera is better -- has a built-in gyro that helps stabilize. The extra memory is also tempting. My contract doesn't expire till end of October, so I have a little longer to decide. |

I have been saving for the iphone 6 plus sense the rumors started lol. I want to see and touch one before I buy it though. I have had an upgrade sense March but if I upgrade I lose my unlimited data so I will have to use my moms upgrade but she doesn't get it until November. |
I got the iPhone 6 (gold w/white 64 GB) on Saturday, and I love it. I went to the Verizon store to see and hold both sizes and expected to have to order, but they had one, so I got it. It is the perfect size for me, the 6 Plus is just too big to hold comfortably in my hand, and when you talk on it, it's like holding a tablet up to your ear. I have large enough hands/fingers, but these things are soooo thin and slippery (even with the clear case I got), that the 6 is just right. My previous phone is the iPhone 4s, so this is a big upgrade in size for me. I am thrilled that it was so easy to transfer over all my stuff with my MacBook Pro computer using iTunes sync.... it only took 5 min and now everything is ready. Battery is definitely better, sound is better, and photos much better.... and still figuring out all the rest including the new iOS8. |
