| We have loved our Roomba. It doesn't do a perfect job, so you will still have to vacuum occasionally, but it does a pretty good job getting most of the floor. We have the Pet one... Bought it a few years ago and still love it. We have a Miele vacuum that I love as well, but it doesn't work without a human behind it

| I'm surprised at the good reviews here. I didn't think it did a good job of cleaning at all for the time it took. While is was ok on hardwood (it basically just dusted them), it just didn't clean the rugs to my satisfaction. I have hardwood in every room except my bathroom and sunroom, which are tiled, so i have a lot of rugs. The cleaning wasn't even comparable to very quickly running my upright vacuum over the rugs. For dusting my hardwood, and as I said prior, I have a lot of it, i much prefer my big Libman microfiber cleaning pad. I can whip around the whole house with it in 10-15 minutes! I had my roomba for 3 months and then sold it on craigslist. The only thing i liked about it was that it got to the hardwood flooring under my sleigh bed. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it.

The walls are great for blocking off food dishes and water bowls in our house or sometimes I will get the kitchen vacuumed then block it from coming back where I can mop so for stuff like that they are great. Now I also own a Dyson aminal too so on weekends I will do a go around the house but really it is not even needed with me running the Roomba 3 times a week and we have a lot of area rugs in our house.

| I bought one recently without LightHouse. The robot forgets to clean the kitchen, or some room... It was made to clean 1 room. And you need to move it to another room. The Virtual Walll should be used to it does not move to another room. I think he does not calculate well the time that must stay connected. I live in a tiny apartment. I bought the 870 version, so I think the Lighthouse would be the solution to my problems. But it is not compatible with my version! Even as a new version. Only works with 880, or any of the older versions. Probably ending with the number 80. Right now it cleaned 1 room and now it hasn't finish to clean the livingroom and it's saying it wants to return to dock.... donkey robot. I just have a problem with my Yorkshire. She is very afraid of the robot. Does anyone know what I do to solve this problem? |

| I came in contact with IRobot and they have no solution. The only solution is to take the robot and put it in a closed room or just surrounded with a VirtualWall. When the robot is finished, need to put it in another room. And so on. It does not make sense, right, guys? I was very dissatisfied and unhappy with the Roomba and iRobot. This company does not make clear that the robot does not clean apartment by itself. For example, what the "schedule" weekly cleaning does if you need to be positioning the robot? I have a google calendar that can tell me that I shoud turn the robot on. You know? It does not make sense a schedule system if I need to be there to positioning the robot from one room to another... Another thing said to me here in the forum that the LightHouse does not work right. Ie, neither the LightHouse is a solution to my problem. Notice that my apartment is so small that I would clean with vacuum cleaner in 5 minutes. The idea is very good, too bad it does not work in small apartments. Henry |
