| Digital Cameras We have our 42nd wedding anniversary coming up next Saturday, 1/14 and I need some ideas for purchase of a digital camera. We have never had one. We want something that is extremely EASY to learn how to operate. Something that is extremely EASY to put pictures on the computer. Something that the settings are already there for us. Dare we ask for anything else??? hehe Would you tell us what we need to look for? I know nothing about them so make this "simple", please! We have the Consumer Guide from July 05 & it has an article in there but some of it I don't understand. We need guidance as to where to get started or even a brand & model number if you dead set on a certain one. Are there other things we need to purchase that aren't included in the price of the camera? Anything else I "should" have asked but didn't? hehe Thank you so very much. I appreciate your help.

| How much are you wanting to spend? I can recommend a camera if you give me a ballpark figure.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I just bought a Casio Exilim EXZ500? it is real easy to use. Has the 2.7 LCD screen, 5 megapixels and is stremlined and I just posted pics on here and had some printed and they turned out great! I too had been looking for awhile. These are the things I knew I wanted: At least 5 mexapixels At least a 2.5 LCD Screen) Bigger the better for my old eyes) Easy to use Fast shutter speed so that I can take pictures of my puppy who is always moving Antishake function because my hands aren't that steady. This is just what I wanted and I am very happy with my camera.JMO I am sure people with more experience with digital cameras will be able to give you more info.

We got a Fuji Finepix S9500. It cost us £400. It is 9 megapixel and 2 inch LCD. Its an SLR so you have all the zoom functionality. | |

| A professional photographer on YT said always buy a Canon and I can see alot of you have a Canon. That will be my next one but this little Kodak Easy Share has done the job I need it for at this point anyway. I always recommend a Canon though ...mine was a gift.

| Thank you for all your input. I appreciate so many replying. I'm surprised. I'm still investigating and looking on the internet. It's so difficult as I want it for next weekend and everyone in town is out of stock due to Christmas. After this, I'm buying our anniversary gift before Christmas!!! I feel like I really do need the largest LCD on the computer. There are some out that have a 3" LCD so I'll probably go for one of them. Thanks!
