Ice Storm!

I pray you stay safe and warm. These winter storms can cause so many problems. We have been without electricity since 8 this morning in our little southeast Texas neighborhood. We are having a little ice storm and it caused some limbs to fall on the power lines. I should be thankful it is not any worse than it is. They are saying now it will be 12:30 before power is back on. We have our generator running for lights, tv and the computer but not enough energy to run heaters so our old house is getting a bit chilly. It should be getting above freezing here soon so hopefully all the ice will melt quickly.

Ugg. Hate to hear that. Ice is awful. We got very lucky and ours was mostly sleet. I should stop complaining. I hate losing power and so far we haven't this year. I miss living in the south....I'm being sarcastic, as I do live in the south, but it's been 4 months of winter here. I'm not sure what is going on here. We haven't had any road work at all on any of our highways. They look the same today as they did the day of the storm. Stay warm and safe. On a very positive note. My son is stuck here as he can't get back to college. It's been wonderful having him at home.

Looks like the snow and ice are done here for awhile! I did not go in to work yesterday... besides the snow and ice, I had a huge headache. Lucky for me, there were lots of cancellations at the docs office and I was able to get an appt in the afternoon...... I guess the headaches have been caused by a bad ear infection & sinus infection. Hopefully it will disappear like the snow & ice!

I hope with the days gone buy all the ice is gone for those that had it. We had a little bit but they were able to get some chemicals down so the ice was gone by Monday when we had to drive to work

I'm so sore from all the shoveling that had to be done yesterday. I really REALLY hope this is the last blast we get this winter. It's also holding up materials that our company needs!!!
