| 700,000 Fans Attending Seahawks Parade and Festivities! The city has shut down for business! Today is a day for the city and the region to celebrate our win in The Super Bowl! Schools have closed(some), businesses have closed...... This is unreal! Live event from KIRO 7 Eyewitness News | www.kirotv.com |

| Pretty crazy! People here are pretty riled up about it... Not sure that I would want to be in Seattle right now.

| Nothing like a Super Bowl parade and celebration for a city! Everybody is so happy and in a good mood for weeks afterward. Such fun times and you feel so proud of your team and your city. Congratulations to the Hawks and Seattle and the fans!

| What a remarkable team they are, youngest team to win a super bowl. I watched the entire game in absolute amazement. Average age 26 They have reason to celebrate and hope it was fun for all of them and didn't get out of hand.

| Not a single arrest for the entire parade or associated festivities...... Pretty cool, 750,000 is the most recent accurate, count I've heard... 100,000 more than the population of the city... 550ish teachers skipped school with 13,000 of the students for the day.JUST in Seattle... thousands more from surrounding cities.... Bird flu or Seahawk fever was the accpeted excuse. LOL Big party yesterday, well behaved. |

| I was in Seattle that day. Stuck at Amtrak station. We tried to getxacbite to eat. I was with my husband and teenage daughter come ing back for steam powered giraffe concert. I had no clue what was going on lol. No sports fans in my family. I did buy a T- shirt after I realized what was going on. Figured 5$ is a good price for a t- shirt. Lots of people driving in cars yelling go Seahawks. I think I should watch the news more. |
