YT 2000 Club Donating Member | When you shop how often do u bring gifts home for the dogs? We were out in the snow, nasty weather here today, picking out our Xmas tree, and doing some other errands, so I had to drop into a pet store I don't normally frequent ..why? Of course to see their toy display. 3 chew/dental toys bought and brought home But I made a mistake for our young guest, and bought a chew toy that was too tough for her, and maybe too big too Now my boys are happily munching away and the wee gal is left out.... But my boys always greet me especially nicely when I come home with bags they = food and or toys and or both So how often do you bring home gifts for the pups?

| Well I used to bring home something every time I was out. But I no longer do that. They have so much stuff they don't need anymore. LOL

| I always try and grab at least a little something for Charlie too when I am out. He also gets excited when I bring home bags thinking there must be a goodie for him somewhere in that bag too. lol I almost feel bad when there isn't. They are as bad as kids, aren't they?!?! lol And when I don't, I just pretend I did by giving a piece of a cracker or something I bought from the grocery store, for example. Donating YT 500 Club Member | Alfie gets a squeaky toy or ball when I do my weekly food shopping, we bring all the bags into the house and put them on the kitchen floor for Alfie to get his present. He always knows what bag it is in and finds it in seconds, I really don't know how. The first time he did this I had brought the shopping in and put the bags on the counter then ran to the bathroom, when I came out Alfie had the big rubber bone I had brought him, I asked my daughter if she had given it to him but no, he had made his way up on top of the counter and found it himself. Which is why the bags always go on the floor now until he gets his toy.

| Lola gets a toy about 75% of the time I go shopping, she takes so much pleasure in a new squeaker toy that I can not resist since she will play with it none stop for several days straight. She also now expects something so I can not leave a plastic bag on the floor unattended since she will tear it apart thinking there is a toy in the bag.

| Every other week or so, it was more but she has a lot of stuff. Lola is small and an only dog so a bag of treats or chewys lasts a long time and she's not destructive with her toys, she has at least 30 now. I think I've only had to throw out 4-5 toys. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Yes I go through bouts of shoppingitis for the pups. I am a terror when I go to shows! Some shows have these great vendors with nifty things you don't see in pet stores. Last show a couple of weeks ago, there was a new vendor there who made handmake leather crafts, some awesome designs too! I ended up buying a collar for Magic with blue crystal stones on it. I have to take a pic of him in it, it will be his dress Xmas collar. It was a real steal at $130 ..gasp. I didn't like the small collars at all. Otherwise Razzle would have had a collar too. Instead he got a new squeakie. My boys are rough on their toys, so usually in the summertime we go through at least 2 sometimes 4 water toys. And the stuffingless toys only last 2 wks with my chewers.

We used to bring home a Hartz stuffed toy for the boys every time we went to the grocery store. (they had to be replaced often because Max liked chewing through the rear end of the little stuffed doggies) Now we shop you know where.

| I got so bad with this, DH no longer allows me to do the shopping! (Yay!) But yes, the bags go on the floor so they can try to find their toys or treats. Such sad eyes since DH now does the shopping.... Mommie will have to make up for this oversight next time out!

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | You are much braver than I. I do fear that not much food and no meat would make it up to the counter My boys have a hearty appetite and love fresh meat, cheese, fish, fruit, you name it, they will eat it!

| Oh yeah, the meat bags go right in the fridge, since my Bengal kitty ran off with a pork chop once (in seconds!), lol. Once the meats are secure, the kitties go for the celery? Sapphire always like to body slam the bread, which is bigger that her, and always, without fail, will stick her head through one of the handles and drag a bag back into the living room. Haha. (while I'm panicking that she be strangled)

| I don't know how many times I went out gift shopping this year so far, but I have 2 full stockings for my boys already! LOL To my credit, I throw away toys (unless it's their favorite) when I buy new ones... they just get nasty and smelly and I wash them sometimes, but when they are 5 years old... they are gross no matter how much you wash them.

| I got Callie in the habit of getting a toy every time I leave her which is normally once a week.

| My DH buys snacks & chews everytime he goes shopping. Since I foster and am in Petco every Saturday...I buy something. Got my new foster last night (Dashound) and yup Petco it was. She is sporting new sweater, collar & leash.
