| Bugs and rat hair in spices from India and Mexico... Bug parts and rat hair found in high rates in spices, FDA says - CNN.com I checked all of my spices as soon as this aired! I threw out all of my newly purchased Indian spices.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | In all spices, the FDA has always allowed a percentage of bug parts. This goes wayyyyyyyyyy back. I can't recall the percentage allowed, but it's always there.

| I know! In fact, I posted an article about this subject here on yt a while ago. Apparently the spices tested exceeded the allowance.

| thanks for the head's up.... I stand corrected from a gal who apparently knows her likker. Just did some research - very interesting the history of worms in mezcal. I'm a non drinker - by choice. Apparently I am super-sensitive to the effects of alcohol. Don't like most drinks and the ones I do like, well let's just say I'm a cheap drunk. The joke here is just let me sniff the cork. |
