| Im so excited!!!! For 2 reasons. My husband is cleaning out our third bedroom and its going to be my new art room. It will still display all his sports memorabilia but I will finally be able to take my art stuff out of boxes and put them to use!!!! I used to have an art room but over a year ago when I started my business it took over my room and I had to box up everything. I know Ive showed you guys some of my paintings but Im probobly going to be doing more drawing then paintings until I can get a little more space (Im messy ) and I have attached some pictures of my drawings that I have in the house. One of the drawings is of the first dog that me and my husband had, his name is Pongo and its his baby picture. (I havent had a chance to draw my little girls yet) The other picture is of my favorite baseball player Arod when he was playing with the Texas Rangers. The other reason I am excited is because me and my husband are going to try to raise butterflies. I love butterflies and I collect framed butterflies(Ive attaches a picture of some of my butterflies on one of my walls). So we are going to build a butterfly farm and raise them and once they pass away(they only live about 2 weeks) we will frame them so they last forever . Anyways it will take awhile before we get this started but we are reseaching it now. Im just super excited!

Donating Member | Shana - you are so talented....the art look great...Your clothes are so cute - what do you NOT do ? lol - that's really cool ...and I know I'll look forward to seeing more creations by you. Your butterfly collection is outstanding - I did that as a kid - I had an uncle obsessed with insects and he taught me how.... but after I grew up - no way could I pin them but your collection is pretty incredible. |

I havent actually pinned any butterflies myself. Most of my butterflies were purchased and most of them are mounted in the frames that have that cotton stuffing so they are really just laying in the frames(I have done some of these on my own). Is it hard to pin them? Im excited about building our butterfly habitat. Its going to require some constuction on my husbands part(this can be a bit scary ) because we have to build a large pen almost like a green house and it has to be temperature controlled and have a misting water type system set up in it. ANd It will have live plants. Im not exactly sure where we are going to keep this yet. So we are still working out the kinks. It will probobly be a few months but I think the process of setting it up will be fun. I love hobbies!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That's so cool - you should collect Froggies !! My friend has a terranium (sp) built into the center of their home and the froggies are SO happy in there - its just really cool - but the rare ones are really expensive... on Pinning Butterfly's - yes it's hard - as a kid I tried it but I just didn't have the heart to do it. |

Yeah I think it would be a hard thing to do. Im probobly going to stick to the cushioned type frames that you can just rest the butterflies in.

| I'm with Villette... What CAN'T you do!!!!! The butterfly idea is WAY cool. A number of years ago, after my grandmother passed, my mother was so down that I took her for a 'girls weekend' in Georgia. One of the places we went to was Calloway Gardens. They had the most amazing butterfly conservatory there!!! I had never been to anything like that before, and could have stayed there all day!! I thought you might be interested. Here is a link... Calloway Gardens Butterflies There is even more info if you explore the Butterfly Center under the Attractions tab.
