Is it just me, or have times changed that much? A friend showed me a picture of her family vacation. Her daughter-in-law is 8.5 months pregnant, and had on a bikini! maybe I'm not with the times, but I found that to be so inappropriate. Ok, what do you think? |
Eh to each their own . I probably wouldn't do that, I would probably pick one of those tank bathing suits, but that is just me. If you are that confident to rock it- might as well. |
I think society is just so desensitized at this point, nothing phases too many people anymore. |
I think it's beautiful. I wore a tankini when I was pregnant but I don't see anything wrong with wearing a bikini. I agree with D if you are confident-Rock It. I am more offended by men wearing Speedos LOL  |
1 Attachment(s) Morgan... you don't think this is beautiful?? |

If I hadn't looked like a hippo while pregnant, I might have done it too. |

That pic. Oy vey. I can never unsee it. Not a big bikini fan in general. I'm kinda conservative. But I don't care if others wear em and I think they can (not always) look really cute if preggo. |
I think pregnant bellys are beautiful and i see alot of women who look pregnant but arent in bikinis all the time so I think its anything goes these days |
I was pregnant in the summer of 84. This was the hottest summer in UK for years and I went to the beach at pretty much 2 weeks before due date. My mum was in Florida on holiday and I told her I was just back from the beach when she called. I don't know why but she asked me what I wore and she nearly swallowed her dentures when I told her a bikini, she said "but sure everybody would see the whole shape of you" If I had worn an army tent that day it couldn't have hidden my shape. I remember I had to dig a big hole in the sand for my belly and was able to lie comfortably face down, I hadn't been able to do that in months. I was only just 18 at the time though. |
Don't get me wrong, being pregnant was the most beautiful time of my life. No one could tell me that anyone looked better than me...back in 87.:) I would go swimming all of the time, but not with my stomach exposed. To me, my baby was sacred, and I couldn't imagine anyone looking at me in disgust. After the picture was shown, a lot of people had negative comments about it. |

I wore a bikini during all three of my pregnancies and loved it. I felt comfortable and beautiful. I absolutely adore pregnant bellies and was heartbroken when, during my first pregnancy and I had FINALLY started to show (at almost 8 months pregnant,) my old bag coworker told me to wear a girdle! |

There was pics of KimYe in a bikini in her final days as well. Hard to avoid those pics at the grocery store. But in these times I don't think it's too out there. But me personally I wouldn't. I wouldn't even wear a bikini now and I'm 115 lbs. I'm just not comfortable in one. Quote:

You shouldn't feel like you have to hide your body just because you are creating life. A womans body is beautiful no matter what. Society shouldn't put us behind a screen just because we dont fit into what they tell us is beautiful of sexy. |

I just think pregnant women are beautiful- I love those bellies!! So no, I don't see anything wrong with it- heck as hot as it gets here in the summer, who could blame a girl anyway? Not sure if I'd be confident enough to do it myself, but I hope I would be! I'd rather see & show momma belly than beer belly! |
