What type of profession do you have? Care to share? My history is with the travel industry. I had 18 years with an airline, and almost ten years with corporate travel agencies. I currently teach ESL ( English as a second language) to adult students at a technical college in my city. |

dog I am a retired elementary school teacher. I now am doing work with hospice patients. I also walk every morning for 2 hours picking up trash in our neighborhood. That is my community service. I wish people realized that their mother is not out there to clean up after them. Two other retired teachers walk with me. We figured since we are out there walking we might as well clean up the city. It is great to do a service for others. |
I start my thirty fifth year of teaching in September. I have mostly worked with high school students with learning disabilities or ADD, but I have also worked with Autistic kids, kids with emotional issues, Tourette Syndrome, OCD, and other special needs usually in ninth or tenth grade. I will be working with some very high needs students this coming year. I always love them, so I am very excited. |
I am head teller in a five star community bank. I have been with them for 19 years in December, and had my current position for 18 years. I love my job and our bank is small..three branches and 30 employees and we are treated like family. I feel lucky to be where I am. |
I'm a stay at home mom of three little girls and two dogs. For 8 1/2 years I was a bridal consultant registered with the National Bridal Association. I've also been a switchboard operator/receptionist as well as a bartender. |
I have been an underwriter at a Mortgage company for almost 3 years. |
Commercial crabber we do prawns and halibut too :) |
NICU RN, love my job!!!!! |
Family service worker. Breaks my heart to go to work everyday. Partially due an agency that mistreats us and the other part due to families who lie about the care they give their kids. Overall, I've been in education since 2006. |
I have been in the medical field for 27 years, first as a medical assistant, then in medical records and now medical office assistant. |
My husband and I own a plumbing company. I do his books. I just recently opened a quilting studio. As soon as I finish paperwork and a few loose ends, I will be teaching classes at my studio (which is next door to and attached to the plumbing office). |

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you do for "your special needs kids"....you could be my son's teacher! And you all hold a very special place in my heart for all the devoted efforts you put into breaking thru to these special children! God Bless You....I love you! Thank You! |
I am a SOON to be retired CVICU RN!! Fro 1970 - 2005, I was at the bedside, then on the job injury side lined me (Kin-Aire bed pushed over my foot!) and I was moved into Administration as Utilization Review/Utilization Management RN.....I always loved my CVICU-Transplant nursing......2005-2013 has been a challenge, to say the very least, and I am so over NUMI!!! I have absolutely NO tolerance for ineffective tools and I leave this mess to all you young bloods, who have the tolerance I have lost, to deal with!!! I will retire on July 31st and be a "stay at home mom" to my 39 year old autistic son and my babies (dogs), devoting 110% of my time strictly to my son and my breeding business! |
Retired (34 yrs) District Attorney Office manager. I always did the budget & personnel; also handled grand jury---worked up case synopsis & subpoenaed witnesses, etc for 23 yrs. Loved, loved, loved my job! We had 38 employees so we were like family---treated extremely well by both my former bosses---got to travel which I dearly loved. Mostly, I love working with & helping people! |
Retired Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of a company that sells fire hydrants. After 38 years of getting dressed up for work, I can now dress in my sweats and play with Macy and Molly all day. My claim to fame is I met Bruce Jenner and talked to him for quite a while when he came to the company I worked for to do a promotional piece. |
I started out as a stay at home mom, moved onto a job of daycare worker for 12 years. Then worked in Special Ed with autistic/BD & Severe Profound elementary children for 10 years at our school until my premature, twin granddaughters came along. For the past five years, I have been a stay at home grandma! I love being at home for them and my very spoiled yorkie babies. I hope to go back to my job at school as I loved it! I had my certification in CPR, First Aid Certified, Manditory Reporter, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Mandt Certified, Paraeducator Certification and many Special Education Classes. I so miss my "kids" at school who are now in Middle school! The school asked since my granddaughters would be entering Kindergarten this year, if I was coming back. It will be a few years, but at some point, I will! :) |
