ok heres my two cents- You can't expect someone to know what you are thinking (which was said in previous posts). If you expect something, then you are going to have to tell him your expectations. You said you have been together for 3 years. Well, unforunately after time you do start to take things for granted. I am not saying this is good or you should put up with it, I just think we get in a pattern of give and take from each other. I think a very good book is the old Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. I have been married 32 years and believe me, there are still hurt feelings and not getting it right. good luck with communicating.

honey you need not follow everyone else's experiences, follow your heart and let him know how you truely feel about the situation. let it be your experience.

I'm realistic And I know s@*! happens, so ya can't be 100% happy all the time, but if he is just your BF and your unhappy,,, think about it,, imagine it 10-20 years from now. That is a great book and I agree. If a man is really in love with you, there is no limit to what he will do. He probably knows that you aren't going anywhere and thinks he has no reason to worry. I think you should make him worry and show him that you are too good for the way you are being treated.

I don't think anyone expects anyone to do what anyone of us did- we are just sharing our thoughts and experiences, it gives the person asking the question things to think about and apply them to their lives the way they see fit. Which I am assuming is what the person wants or they wouldn't post for suggestions, help, ideas ect.

envrobear- I hope it all works out for you, let us know what happens... and know that no one is telling you to do this or that, we were just sharing what happened to us and what we learned from it... it is your life and you are in the drivers seat.

livingdustmops- I love those sayings that make you think... I am also going to post it in my kitchen so everyone in the family sees it daily- and they can apply to their life how they see fit... we are building an office here, and all the pictures have inspirational messages on them, I love those things... thanks for sharing :)

Okay, I did leave out the part of skid in sideways with a martini in one hand and a box of chocolates in the other,

Why thank you Yokie. It's been a long hard road, but yes we do! As a matter of fact, he has become quite the yorkie lover himself. So much that he wants to talk about them too, even setting up his own account here, and staking his claim to one of my recent pups, River. LOL!
