YT 2000 Club Member | Congrats on your up coming wedding! You will have a ball at Disney. I am 60 and went two years ago with my husband and we felt like two young kids again. We had so much fun. We spent a week there and still wasn't able to see and do every thing. Have FUN!!

| I saw on the news yesterday where Disney has raised all prices, so make sure you have tons of money. The first time I went to Disney World was in 1972 when I lived right by it. It sure has grown since then.

| Meh. They raised the gate price of tickets by $6. That's about the cost of a typical fast food combo or a venti Starbucks. Not that big a deal to me.

| What do you want to know.. Huh huh huh.. I have annual passes to both Universal and Disney so we go a lot since it is only a 2 hour drive. Sept 27 - Nov 11 is my FAV time of the year to visit Epcot which is also my fav Disney park, they have a Food and Wine fest during that period. Oh and you have to do a character breakfast.. Umm as soon as you get to the park go to guest services and get your Just Married button to wear and you will feel like a celebrity all day from all the well wishes.

| You will have a wonderful time, I'm sure. The DH and I usually go a couple times each year. We are Vacation Club members and have been going this way for several years now. May I ask if you are staying on Disney Property? I would recommend it if the costs are not prohibitive. Lots of people stay off property and we did the first time we went with our kids and we hated it. Disney does such a good job of taking care of their guests, it would save you a lot of time and hassle to just stay where the action is. All the transportation is provided by Disney unless you like driving around and it would save you a lot of gas money to leave the driving to them. If you already have booked reservations off property then I'm sure you will have a wonderful time. Just be sure to take your time. You're never going to get to see everything in one trip, unless you have about a month to vacation. LOL I would recommend picking up a guide to Disney where they offer advice on which rides to head for first and such. Be sure to make your meal reservations early as most of the really good restaurants on site get full early. Don't wait till you get there to book reservations for meals if you're doing something very fancy. I could recommend reservations for Victoria & Alberts restaurant at the Grand Floridian Hotel (on site). They serve a seven course meal that is just to die for!! We went for our 30th anniversary dinner and even though it's rather high prices, it's worth every penny!! Treat yourself if you can. There is also the Be Our Guest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom that is new. They also give great service with wonderful meals. Worth the price. As far as other restaurants go...we really like San Angel Inn (Mexico on the World Showcase). They have the best Mexican food I've ever had. Nothing you will get outside Disney in the USA. We also love the fish & chips at the British quarter on the World Showcase. They you absolutely MUST get dessert in France. It's the absolute best. As you can tell, we have become foodies at DW. As for the rides, the guide book will give you suggestions and information on the rides at the different parks so you can pick and choose how and what you want to do from that. We drive down from Illinois when we go and have developed a routine. First day there, we usually get in around 10 or 11 am and when we're done unpacking and picking up groceries, we hit the pool for the rest of the afternoon and then go somewhere nice for dinner. They we can get a good nights rest to go full steam ahead the next day. I'm sure however you plan your honeymoon (maybe you won't even leave your room), you'll have wonderful memories for the rest of your lives and who knows, you can always go back again!! Congrats and happy planning!

@ldyrev1- thanks for the food tips- a seven course meal might be too much even if we shared it The Be our guest restaurant sounds fun. We will have to go out at least a couple times to a really nice dinner. I am not one who enjoys spending lots of money but its our honeymoon so I'm gonna try and not think about it until later

| More Tips... Mention Your Celebration When Making Advanced Dining Reservations: Whether you’re making Disney Dining reservations online or over the phone, be sure to mention that you’re celebrating your honeymoon or anniversary while at Walt Disney World Resort. If you’re on the phone, the reservations agent will note your celebration in the notes of the reservation. Get, and Wear!, Your Celebration Buttons: Even when you’ve dutifully mentioned your celebration while making your dining reservations, sometimes wires get crossed. When you check into your Disney hotel, let the front desk cast member know that it’s your honeymoon or anniversary, and inquire about celebration buttons. (If you’re not staying in a Disney resort, you can get your buttons at guest services in any Disney theme park — they’re free!) SOMETIMES you get special treats and treatment while dining when they know these things in advance
