| We were shaken at 7:38 this morning by an earthquake. It was 3 miles west of Isla Vista and registered 3.6. Shook our house and rattled our windows, but the girls didn't even bark. Earthquakes Today: 4.6 Earthquake Hits Santa Barbara, Isla Vista, Calif.; Tsunami Warning Issued

| Now I saw on the news it was a 4.8. We rarely feel earthquakes in this area. There is no way I would stay inside my house during a shaker. I'll sit it out away from anything that can fall on me. In a city where buildings are really tall then yes, I'd stay inside and look for the right cover. Our terrible weather everywhere is getting stronger and more often.

| Very scary! Glad you are okay. When we had our earthquake here in Virginia, I grabbed the dogs and stayed in the doorway because I was afraid to go outside with all of our tall trees -- which could fall on the house too. We don't have any open space.

| Forgot to mention, our boys, like your girls, did not bark. I was surprised because ours sounded like we were being carpet bombed as it approached. When it finally started shaking the house, my boys were scared because they saw how panicked I was.

| We've had a lot of small ones lately. How do I know about them? I read about it in the paper the next day! hahahaha! I'm immune to it now. I'm glad we've been having lots of small ones. I don't know what Kaji would do if a big one hit.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | That big earthquake we had all along the east coast last year. We did not feel it. We were on vacation on the outer banks. We were in the car when it happen. When we got out of the car everyone was talking about it we were like ??? Family and friends were calling to see if we were ok.

| I call my son who lives in Oklahoma City to see if he's ok with all those tornado's and he then calls me to see if I'm ok with earthquakes and fires. We didn't get much rain this past winter so were in for lots of fires I'm afraid. We rarely get fires in this area mainly because we are so close to the ocean and get lots of fog and temps that rarely get higher than the low 70's, so that keeps things moist.
