| Camera Do any of you have a recommendation for a camera that takes action shots? I take pictures at my sons football games. The camera I use just went to camera heaven. I was using the Nikon D 70. Any suggestions?

| If you have any lenses for the Nikons, I'd stick with them. Any of the Nikons would be great, but the Nikons with internal focusing motos have faster focusing capabilities. I'd be happy to help whether you go with Nikon (which I know more about) or any other brand because I can do some research on them. Sorry to hear about your D70. It is a great camera, but whichever newer model you choose, you will see noticeable improvements just because of technology updates. They are capable of much higher ISOs, so they are better in lower light conditions. For excellent Nikon advice and reviews, I recommend reading Thom Hogan. I have the D90 and really love it. I admit, I haven't really used it for action shots, but I know it's supposed to be good for that.

| I have a d60 and the upgrade that I can't remember the number lol... it does movies also. The auto focus.. anti shake .. stablizing lenses is the most important imo My dd just sold her d60.. and purchased a smaller nikon. She likes that better because she can put in her handbag and the pictures are great. I don't know if it is a slr... multi shots and how fast.

| Aymee, Katie Scarlett's mom, had a rebel (I think). The pics she took at our Yorkie Meet-up of Mandie running were gorgeous. She might not see this thread so you could PM her maybe? I know nothing about cameras and I know all these others do...especially Lisa. I just wanted to mention whatever camera Aymee used because I loved how it took those running shots
