| I know your heart is breaking in the way any mother's does when her child goes off to pursue an education and career. You want all the success in the world for them but so hate to lose that daily closeness and having them around the house or at dinner, catch a smile and give and get a hug and kiss, share a moment here and there. I imagine life will change drastically in many ways for you but in time you'll find ways to adjust and deal with it. That goodbye as she drives or flies off will leave you in tears but fill you with such pride, too, as you watch her go start her adult life. This time in the life of our children is so bittersweet. But you know she won't ever forget mother, the loving home you made and the love she's grown up with however far she goes. And as proud as you are as she grows ever busier achieving new goals and living her life, you'll be so happy every single time she calls announcing a visit home. We mothers come to live for those calls! She's such a lovely girl and has a beautiful smile and I wish her Godspeed on her way.

YT 500 Club Member | It is sad. My baby girl left last fall to college also. Hence the new girl fur baby to replace the emptiness in my heart. Already have a boy fur baby, but had to get my girl. Now she's spoiled to death by us parents! Just remember its a new adventure for all of us. I home schooled my daughter for 11 years, so talk about adjusting for us all. But I have to say, she adjusted betterthen me!

| Such a beautiful girl, I wish her all the very best and every success....doesn't stop your heart from breaking though, does it? When my son left home about 8 years ago - he REALLY left home...went to follow his love and his career and moved to Vienna in Austria I truly never thought I'd get over it, I reckon it took me a good couple of years, even though he 'came home' 4 times a year. It just wasn't the same as seeing that big grin and feeling those huge hugs on a daily basis. My heart still aches for days after he goes back again. They're only on loan to us (unfortunately!)....I wish you all the very best, and please know all us other mums are hurting along with you too Sally x |

| I wish your daughter all the best with this new episode in her life Reading this makes me love and appreciate my mom (and dad) even more. I moved to the Netherlands to continue with my studies. My parents live on Bonaire and it's 9 hours away with an airplane and it's expensive to fly! I don't get to see my parents very often and every time I get to visit them or they manage to come here, I appreciate every second! I can't wait to finish here and move back and be closer to them

| Congratulations to both you and your lovely daughter. When they are little it seems the time goes so slowly but truly we only have them for a short time. |

| Kendra. I sure know how your heart feels. I hear myself often telling people with young children to enjoy every moment cause when the last one leaves he nest it is heartbreaking. I am sure that I was told the same thing when my boys were small and driving me crazy but now I do understand. When you see your children grow into adults it is a reminder that the most precious time of your life is just a memory. I think the best part of it however is watching them transform into adults making decisions for themselves for the first time in life. |

| She is very pretty!! The hardest thing I ever did was to leave my boys in the much talked about city of Houston Texas! I cried all the way there and back and everyday for 3 weeks after when the oldest left and I still cry every time the youngest drives away. But they are now tears of joy because I have watched them change into responsible, respectable, wonderful young MEN that will not be a burden on society or the women that they marry. I am truely blessed. Yes, life for you will change but you have your furbaby to keep you company and you can skype and call her each day and they have parent days on campus. Make the most out of every weekend that she comes home. When my boys come to visit all of my friends and family drop in because they know there will be plenty of food and desserts to go around. You are not alone so feel free to call on us here to cheer you up anytime you need it!! Oh ya, my great young men gave me my little Roxy to keep me company in their absence.....see I told you they are wonderful MEN!! I hope your daughter has a wonderful and blessed semester in college!! |

| Such a beautiful girl! Best of luck for her and for you. Giving birth to them is the easy part; giving them their wings and trusting them to fly on their own is the true burden of motherhood.
