I just spoke on the phone with Teri, today is now a week from the surgery. She is still in a lot of pain but it is manageable, and taking some pain medicine. She has trouble moving from position to position, like getting up after sitting, lying down seems to feel the best. Jon took the first week of work off of work to be with her. Now her mom has arrived to spend the second week helping her. The doctors feel the surgery went well but time will be the true test on how much pain relief she will have. She reads YT off and on, but just does not feel up to typing she says she has started typing but never seems to have the energy to finish. Not sure if it means much but her voice sounded great, nice and strong.

Galen is doing well but unfortunately has taken a step backwards in potty training, she is not to concerned with that and will be back working on it in about a week.

She said to say hi and appreciates all the good thoughts and prayers, and will be back to her posting as soon as she can.

I am praying for healing to come to Teri soon. If there is alot of pain, there must be some medicine or pills she can take. Pain puts stress on the body. I would call that dr. right away and get something for relief. Even is she is drowsy at least she is comfortable. May Jesus send His comfort and peace to her.

she has meds for the pain and as she told me it is manageable, if she needs more she will be able to get the. I think she feels that the pain she has is normal and what she expected.

Not that Terri said this, but many people try to take just enough to get through, take to many pain killers and you run the risk of having a hard time getting off them. I know that happened to my husband with shoulder surgery, his doctor was liberal with oxi , and LOL like most men my husband could not tolerate ANY twinge or hint of pain so he kept taking them like they were aspirin. He did not get addicted, but had some weird reaction. Teri seems to have more sense than that

Just now seeing this thread and I was thinking of starting a thread to see if anyone had heard from her. I'm so glad to hear she's home and the surgery is behind her, though she's got a ways to go with that much surgery. Still praying for Teri.

Thank you all for your thoughts. I am doing ok. I was in a lot of pain and the meds made me fuzzy. I am moving around a little more. Galen's potty training is held off. I can not bend, lift, or twist. When I am better it will start again. Hugs and puppy kisses to all Teri and Galen

My husband has had eight back surgeries, and he lives with intractable back pain, so it hurts me to hear you in pain. I hope the pain decreases and that the surgery greatly improves your quality of life. I know Galen and your beautiful cats must be brightening up your life, and I hope the surgery does too.

Yay! Glad to 'see' you back! Hope you continue to heal and your pain diminishes rapidly! Think and pray for you daily... and do not overdo when you do feel better! Take it easy!
