Yes. That poor pale, shocked man who had lost half his blood no doubt. Poor, poor man. You could tell he was just barely conscious and no doubt his mind had shut down all routine functions. It's a shame they couldn't have him in shock position on a stretcher or in two men's arms running him in to an ambulance and not sitting up. His BP was no doubt tanked despite the tourniquets. |
We've had a fertilizer plant explosion near Waco in Texas, all units requested, felt 200 miles away. I pray for those workers and their families. |
Now they are saying a middle school nearby is burning and there is damage to nearby homes. Residents in homes being evacuated and nearby communities. Apparently even a nursing home is affected. |
I sure pray this is wrong but Dallas News.com is reporting a large swath of the small town has been leveled. Another story saying firefighters are trapped and many, many people injured. |
Firefighters are smelling gas coming from a hardware store nearby. All units still being requested from larger cities. The highway approaching West is clogged with emergency equipment trying to get there. Calling for more hazmat response. The sky looks full of choppers. |
Sending prayers for all |
Oh my goodness....pray for Texas, y'all....:( 60-70 already confirmed dead.... |
EPA very concerned about getting people out of the area as it's said the fumes they are breathing are terribly dangerous and wind will be changing early in the morning. But so many of the residents electricity is out that they can't get communications so law enforcement going to try to reach them in the next hour and get them transported out. Looks like 60-80 homes destroyed, a nursing home, an apartment house and the fertilizer plant. WFAA-TV is saying maybe 80 dead. Hospitals in Dallas and Fort Worth are receiving patients so apparently over 100 injured. One woman whose husband is a firefighter there found his hulled out, damaged truck parked at the Fire House in West but no one has seen him. One official said maybe 11 firefighters dead. That town will never ever be the same. We're praying the liquid fertilizer tank won't blow but they think they have the fire under control enough to prevent that if winds don't cause something more as they change. What a tragedy. West has/had one of the greatest little bakeries. We'd always stop there on the way back from Austin or San Antonio just to get goodies. Poor, poor people of West. |
Oh Jeannie that is just terrible about that fertilizer plant and town. I am praying for all those affected |

Even ONE fatality is too many, but does anyone have a confirmed number on deaths and wounded. I am seeing you guys saying upwards of 60 to 80 but I just saw on Fox's website not too long ago and they said 5 to 15. That's a big difference. What a crazy week. Prayers to everyone in TX!!! |
There has been so much heartbreak in the last few months.... school shootings, bombs and now this explosion. My heart cries for all who are going through such tough times of sadness and heartbreak! May God be with them...... |

I did read how the place was settled by Czech immigrants long ago and is called the Czech Point of Texas. Just so sad that life has been blind sided for everyone there. Praying really hard that the number is on that low side, too!! |
Booms and countless shots fired, more booms and heavy police activity in Watertown, Mass., not far from MIT arrest scene. Now they are saying Boston Police, FBI and Homeland Security on the scene and all the crowd has been pushed back blocks. SWAT arriving, National Guard coming in. Everybody wondering if this is connected to Boston and/or MIT shooting. Choppers in the sky. Apparently a bomb or bombs were what went off when people heard the loud booms. They are saying more special operations from different towns being brought into this residential area. All the cable networks on live covering it. The Channel 7 reporter is saying he's never seen police so frantic as tonight. Police are all running in different directions with weapons out. So many police/unmarked cars that there is a traffic jam of official vehicles. Everybody is pushed so far back from the original scene that apparently something still ongoing. Others saying something "black" mentioned in code or code black or something and that usually means bomb. Reporter saying 100 - 150 official vehicles in the area of this small area, which looks urban - as if urban apartments and shops in the area. |
Eyewitness in Watertown overlooking some of the shootout there said one of the two suspects threw handgrenades and a pressure cooker bomb at police, it smoked a great deal creating a smokescreen and then he ran at the police shooting while the other got in a vehicle and took off toward the police, slicking right between the vehicles, knocking off rearview mirrors and things and apparently escaped for a time. Apparently the police took the first suspect that was on foot into custody but the one that had driven off is the one at large still in Watertown. The Boston Police Commissioner is on scene and the FBI has taken over the crimescene there in Watertown and further investigation. The Boston Globe is tweeting now that it is the two Boston bombing suspects that are the two guys in Watertown who were shooting, throwing handgrenades and the pressure cooker. MSNBC's Pete Williams is saying that the FBI was interested in two names that have been tipped to police since the several FBI suspect pix were released yesterday. He said those two names are sourced to Watertown - either living or being known in that area. One of the men the police have arrested is named one of those names, according to Williams. But the other suspect is still on the loose and possibly more. And they are saying the MIT shooting could be connected to all of this Watertown activity. |
Watertown being told to stay in and do not answer door, call 911 if any suspicious person comes to door. Boston Police Scanner reporting motion sensors in a Watertown building just went off and units going there. Whoever this guy is they are chasing, he must be Superman and Spiderman combined to evade this many police for this long. Another homeowner or someone is reporting finding an open front door - wanting police to search and clear. This is like watching 24 and Homeland and all of those exciting moment-by-moment shows. |
Boston Police Commissioner just said they are in pursuit of the 2nd Boston Bombing Suspect in the Watertown area. |
Bomber one is dead in a shootout. Two police have been shot, one MIT police officer is dead in the line of duty. Bomber number 2 is on the loose, they have closed the MBTA for the day and have asked businesses to close for the day. Pray they get him alive, I want to know why? There are many cities involved in the manhunt people have been asked to stay home and not go to work. Also, asking many of the Boston Colleges to stay closed today. |
Another bomb in Kenmore Square? Bomb squad has been dispatched. It's 6:40 my time, and the news has been crazy. The second injured police officer was an MBTA officer. He i9s expected to make it, thank god. The bombers are from Russia and have been in the US for one year! |
Praying they catch everyone involved in this so no one else dies or is injured at their hands. |
Evacuating Cambridge, Mass neighborhood where the suspects live. Saying that they are brothers and that they have lived here for some time...so sad. Graduated from a local high school. Prayers that they get him soon. |
I think this is the craziest week I have ever seen in my life. |
Have you seen the interviews of the family of these suspects they think the police framed them |
I had to shut it off I was getting so angry at the family! |
Not sure if yall are watching...one suspect is dead and they found the other brother hiding in a boat and he is surrounded. Thank goodness they have him! |
Have got my PIP on and watching Fox, CNN & MSNBC. Whomever Fox is using locally has a guy very close and heard 10 explosions about 10 mins. ago. He's been imaged as to his heat profile, now moving. Robot on scene and police waiting. |
The boat is on fire now. No clear indication what size fire or how it was started. i am worried this guy is wired and is blowing himself up now. No clue how much explosives are in that boat...or what kind of fuel is in the boat tank. |
Suspect is covered in blood, they were able to confirm from the helicopter light. I wonder if they could still pick his body up on thermal imaging if he was already dead (suicide)?? The other suspect was wired with a suicide vest. No doubt this younger one is too. |
They had thermal imaging on him and prob. still do. I think they are just waiting until he gives up from weakness, loss of blood. More firing, flashing on Ch. 7 in Boston. Smoke. |
