Calling All Northeasterners . . .Who's Ready for the "Blizzard"?? Should be quite an interesting day tomorrow . . . |
Yes it should! I'm ready for it ... already got the day off from work  |

I would! Whiteout conditions and possibly 30" of snow with strong winds is not exactly a combination I want to be out in! Did you know that this Blizzard has a name? They started naming winter storms this year like they do tropical storms & hurricanes. This storm is Blizzard Nemo. Sounds too cute to be this bad of a storm, doesn't it? :) |
Snow supposed to start here at noon and be real heavy by early evening. I'm so sick of it. My biggest problem is my driveway is gravel :(. I have a beautiful big deluxe snowblower from my last house (that had a paved drive) and I can't use it as all it does is suck up & throw the gravel, hard & fast, in every direction. When I came inches from shattering a window, I rolled it to the back of the garage & it's hand shoveling now...how I hate shoveling! |

It's a DISNEY Blizzard!! :p Oh, I plan on it, just waiting for them to make the call first, because if they tell us not to report and I had already put in for a vaca day, I'd get charged the vaca day . . . |

They are saying my part of CT is between 12 - 15 inches . . .I fall right in the middle of the State . . .Eastern part is supposed to get up to 2 feet! Just stepped out to PETCO at break to get dog food and the Stop & Shop over there is already MOBBED . . . Can't wait to see what the package store is going to be like at lunch time . . .:p |
I am never ready, I have to go out now to buy extra dog food and human food, my guys eat out of boredom, when they are stuck in the house..LOL and like always let the snow begin... they are calling for 6-8 inches for my area, which is not much... hugs, |

Not sure how much it's going to effect me here in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, but if it does, I'm ready:) Be safe everyone while riding out the storm. |
I hope it doesn't pound you all too bad! It must be tough on those with housebroken dogs that go outside when the snow is feet deep and it's time to go out and potty, get in a simple walk! Keep us posted on what all goes on. For those of us down southwest of you, it's as close as we get to real winter weather - just reading about it and watching newscasts. I don't even have any relatives up north so you all are my only resource. |

We are supposed to get 1-3 inches - thankfully as we have had enough already this year with the storms that moved in from the north (Canada) and the west - we get the lake effect snow when those storms come in. |

They revised my area for 14" to 20". Jeanie, the dogs have a shoveled path for them in the back yard...although Bentley still loves to put his face right into the snow!! lol And yes, you should be able to adjust the bottom of the snow blower to clear the gravel...thank goodness for my Ariens snowblower!! Best investment ever!! |

LOL. I swear someone is manipulating these storms. Why else would they name every dang thing? This is the one they thought we'd never get. |
My girls have been praying for a major snow storm since last winter :) They are really excited about the prediction for this one (they don't have school on Fridays so not like they will get a day off). I work from home so regardless of the weather I must work :( Stay safe everyone and try to enjoy this snowfall!! |
I'm ready (I hope) We are getting 18 plus inches here. Starting here tomorrow around 10am....around 5 or 6pm tomorrow they say 3 to 4 inches per hour. They cancelled school in the city of Boston at 9am this morning. Snow Blower is ready with extra gas. and we have extra shovels in case anyone want to come help shovel hint hint LOL....l Stay Safe Everyone. |
I am right in the dark blue area. The 18-24 inches I see on maps but heard up to 33 inches in my area. :( We are ready as can be though, hubby chopped fire wood, we'll fill the gas cans for the generator, and both our cars. We have a well so we have water. I guess there is not much to do except get wine, a good book, cuddle up with the dogs and enjoy being snowed in before the many many hours of clean up we'll have. UGH I hate winter!!!! I wish the weather man said "Open your pools everyone it's going to be a scorcher of a weekend and stay that way until OOoohhh September!" LOL |
I'll happily trade some boring rain for snow. ;):) We haven't had any to play in this year. Stay safe and warm everyone! |
I am right in NYC, we are tethering on ICE/RAIN or all snow. they are not sure yet. if its all snow will be about 6-8 inches. me and my pack are ready. pleanty of coats boots treats and wee wee pads. Stay safe all. |

Exactly. We haven't been getting anything. |
Stay safe everyone. We had sleet early this morning and then it turned to all snow. It is really snowing here. They say we may get 6-8 inches. I can't deal with anymore. My little snowblower isn't starting half the time. Last year I paid a service for the season and they came out 2 times. Decided couldn't afford it this year and now it's snowing every other day. Wonder where all the neighbor guys are with their big snowblowers that said they'd help after Ken died? |
We are supposed to get 4-8 inches here in Oakland County. Not bad. Maybe we will classes cancelled tonight. Oh yeah..never mind. The colleges here care nothing about safety. |
boy i guess i better get ready cause if they are right were gonna get hit hard. |

Hoping everyone has all they need at home and won't have to go out. Especially in the high wind areas. |
My groomers are leaving this weekend to go to the Westminster..... I am so worried about them!! One of them has a dog that will be showing (the dog is probably already there with the handler)...... also to all the YT peeps out there that will be traveling to the show..... Stay safe and be careful!!! :animal-pa ......... and to those that are getting snow in their neighborhood, kick back & stay warm.... call in for a snowday and snuggle with those furkids! :aimeeyork;) |
