I LOVE ZUMBA!!!! :D I'm really horrible at it, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it.

As for music,
I'm currently taking both Piano & Guitar at my college, but I fear this may be the last semester that this is possible :( ... The person footing the bill for my education has requested that I no longer take music courses ... which was rather upsetting... but I suppose that since it has nothing to do with what I am considering to be my major that I'll just have to except it and move on.

Do you favor any particular instrument?

I want to learn to saw so badly, too... I purchased a sewing machine and everything .... and lost patience so quickly that back to the store it went!

My name is Diane and I am the mother of two daughters (one married and one almost married), both living on their own and wife to my best friend of 30 years. I am also the mom to Hansel (mini schnauzer), Cali (a Conure), and expectant mommy to Princess Sophie, our yorkie who we pick up this Sunday. We are very excited at this point. LOL

I am an at home wife looking forward to my DH's retirement in about 5-6 years. I love to sew, travel, and read. I also like to walk and work through my church. I am a former minister and both DH and I served in the Navy back in the 80's. So that makes me old but I don't mind. Exciting to hear about your studies. I worked toward my Bachelor's degree starting when my youngest was two years old, now 26, and reached my goal in 2006. It took a long time but at least I finished before my youngest graduated college. LOL

Don't mean to hijack this thread but....May I make a suggestion. If you really want to learn to sew...purchase a sewing machine from a dealer that will give you free lessons and help you learn how to maximize the use of your machine. You'll never regret that you did. Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide to do. Blessings!

I love sewing and I am one of those strange people like my great grandmother that does not need patterns, this used to make my grandmother soooo mad because she was even a manger at a fabric store :p but my sewing machine fell victim to a drink spill and my great grandmothers singer needs restored :( the machine I want now is $6,000 but untill I build my house with my own sewing room I think it is pointless to buy :(

Can I ask what brand of sewing machine you are interested in?? I have a special preference and the amount you mentioned is painfully familiar. I paid mine in installments on a no-interest credit card.

Oh so I have to stand up and tell about myself. Hi I am Teri. I am the middle of three girls. I march to my own drum. I live in a house that is built in 1784.
Have kitties and waiting to pick up my baby Biewer tomorrow. I can not wait. I am really into history. From celts to 18th century. I love to sew. I make ornate period costumes. I love to cook. I want to be a chef but went to art school instead. I am one of those people that get brought animals that no one wants. So I have had frogs, iguana, small lizards, fish etc

Ooh OOH! I don't even know how to read a pattern properly! Everything I make comes from my own head! I only have a Brother but some day I hope to have a real sewing room and an awesome machine. My sister just inherited her MIL's antique Singer. That thing is amazing!!!!!!
Also, I'm a self taught sewer. My machine did come with a DVD about how to use the machine and I just figured out everything else from there. It sure beats sewing by hand! :)

Hi, I am Cheryl and probably the oldest in this group (well maybe not but I feel it today). I work as a Marketing and Product Manager for a large bank (have in this industry 25 years). Lucky for me I get to work from home (but it is not a case of wearing fuzzy slippers and working in my PJ, I get everyone morning and prep for work like a normal office job).

In my spare time I love to work out, volunteer at a local dog and cat rescue, cook, garden and read. I have no skin children just my loves Avery the Cat and Sophie Kate.

I enjoy interacting with the people on Yorkie Talk and learned so much (yes about Yorkies but a lot of other things also).

:p IF I ever get married it will be at Disney.. Key word IF haha
