Cruise Recommendations?

I love Royal Caribbean, the food was excellent, the ships are so nice, the staff was awesome... I loved everything about it.

My Dad, who is 61 loves Norwegian Cruise line and has been on at least 10 of them. He did say that he likes Royal better, but they are more expensive. I think you can great cruise prices for any cruise line if you are willing to hunt and be flexible with your dates. Look for incentives too, like onboard credits and such.

This past November, I did a Carnival cruise with 15 other people. It was out of Puerto Rico and went to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Bermuda and St. Lucia. It was a great cruise, we had a lot of fun. What I loved about Carnival was there was no pay restaurants, so we ate in the dining room every night just about. They did have a drink package you can buy, but limit the number of drinks you can have per day on it, and the drinks are smaller than if you were to buy ones at the bar. It definitely must have helped with the 'partiers' because we didn't see anyone on the cruise ridiculously drunk. I've heard horror stories, but our Carnival cruise was nice. The staff were GREAT, so funny and friendly. We only had 1 day at sea our whole cruise, so maybe people were not drinking because they were always gearing up for the next day at another port. Im telling you we were gung-ho for the first 4 days, maxing our energy out, by the last 2 ports, we barely got off the ship! LOL Anyways, it was a great cruise. The dining room food was absolutely top of the line, but the buffet food was just ok. The ship was colorful and open and there were plenty of 'adult only' areas to get away.

Hahaha what are trying to say about me??? Geeezzz I ONlY did 3 Carnival cruises last year and have a Carnival and a Royal Caribbean cruises already paid for this year.

ha ha... the carnival cruise I did was out of Miami in the month of July. It was crazy..in a bad way. I am not sure if I already said this, but I felt sorry for some of the mid-westerners .. the cultural shock of a party cruise , in summer, out of miami. yelp...bad. I don't know what I was thinking.

But.. I love cruising. I would like to do one of the river cruises. Of the ones I have been on.. Alaska was the best

In Feb we went on an 8 day one for my best friend's honeymoon with half the bridal party so we had a blast but we are all between 26 and umm yea I am the old lady of the group
