I so hope he is okay. He sounds so precious to you. My last cat, Einstein, passed about 6 years ago - she was 20, and also so precious. It's tough to see these babies age.

Thank you all for your prayers, I just got off the phone with my Vet and Avery's blood work has come back GREAT!! After much thought we have decided not to move forward with the biopsy at GVS.

I spoke with my Vet in detail and she is in agreement, we are going to continue to check his kidney and when the time comes where we will have to move him over to a renal diet. She is for now recommending that I increase the amount of food he gets daily and we will see if his weight goes up. We will continue with his ultra sound and blood work every six months and keep up with his quality of life.

I love my Vet, when I told her we had decided to let Avery live the rest of his life surgery free she was 100 percent supportive. She said she has a cat at home who she is going through the same thing with and that was her decision also.

Thank you again for all your well wishes, prayers and shared experiences. Sophie Kate thanks you all also, she loves her brother cat so much and wants him to happy.
