| Road Rage foolishness We took the dogs with us to the grocery store this morning and I let them out of the car to walk around the usually quiet part of the huge parking lot. A pickup pulled out in front of a tractor trailer cab and nearly caused an accident. Although the woman driving the pickup was clearly at fault, she went into full road rage and started chasing the larger truck cab around the parking lot. The pickup woman was driving fast in reverse, then jumping curbs and islands, almost hitting other cars coming out of aisles. No concern for the safety of other people and no concern for the damage she was doing to her nice pickup. I gathered up the dogs and put them back in the car for their safety (grandpa stays in the car with them while I shop ).

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh my goodness! That is complete ridiculousness. I dislike road rage to begin with, but I absolutely cannot stand when people flip out so badly as to start risking their own lives & the lives of everyone around them. Especially when the person that caused the issue is the one flipping out. Where I used to live road rage was a common occurrence. Once we made a stop at a stop sign, and hadn't even been sitting there three seconds when the person in the car behind us started honking and screaming. So we started speeding up to get out of her way and away from her. She didn't even wait at the stop sign (almost ran into someone) after we went. She then sped up and tried to cut in front of us by driving in the opposite lane, but an oncoming truck forced her to get back in her own lane. When the truck past she flew in the other lane again as fast as she could, got in front of my mom, and slammed on her breaks. She proceeded to jump out of her car screaming at us asking us if we wanted a "piece of her". Did I mention that we were in the Petco parking lot? She almost caused in accident 3-4 times and almost hit a pedestrian once all because we sat at a stop sign to long! Thank goodness no one was actually hurt in the incident that you experienced today. Also I'm very happy you had the option to put your animals back in the car with grandpa because obviously this women didn't care about the potential for hurting anyone & I'm just glad she didn't. Some people be crazy! Last edited by Clyde_Dexter; 01-17-2013 at 10:18 AM. |
