It's good to know you can't really rely on some of the reviews you read online, I trust my fellow Yorkietalkers so much more! :p |
I have been tempted to buy a Keurig but because hubby & I go thru a POT of coffee at a time, instead of a cup at a time, it would be very costly. But thanks for the info... This stuff is good to know! |

My daughter's Keurig died last week. She had it for a little over a year. She called Keurig and they replaced it for free. She already has her new coffee maker. |
You should by it next time from qvc they are excellent with returns. I have had two keruigs and no problems with either. I bought the first one that came out and then I bought the platinum series. I do use spring distilled water on them though. |

How do you like it so far? I'm seeing the platinum & platinum plus, not sure of the difference...never had one myself, not a coffee drinker...but I do love a good cuppa tea :) |
Keurig We have a single serve Keurig and love it. We don't drink much coffee so it is not expensive to use the K cups, but if you drink a lot it would probably be better to get a regular coffee maker. I am not surprised that they tend to replace the machine if any problems as they make the money on cups. However now the cups are available from other sources they may not be so generous with machine replacements? I do like the idea that for guests they can choose the beverage they want. |

I have the Platinum for coupled years now and love it. Once in awhile I get the urge for a plain ole cup of Maxwell House, so on those rare occasions, I have the plastic container to use in place of the k-cup. You just put a tiny coffee filter in it, drop it in like a k-cup and you can use any brand of coffee you want. |
I have a keurig bought it around july 2012 and its still working perfect, i use tap water. My previous roommate had one and i fell in love with it lol but his stopped working and was told that he could get it replaced for free. He never called (not sure why) and ended up throwing it away. |
I guess I have the platinum. It has a tray you can remove. It also have 3 cup settings. I use those cups with the rubber no burn slip covers(I got them at Dollar tree). Walmart sells cute ones for around 5-10 dollars though. I never removed tray with these travel cups plus they can go in the dishwasher!! You can't go wrong with a K-brewer. If you go through alot of coffee. I got a plastic cup and filters at Publix. I like them because no washing like the ones keruig makes...just throw out the filter. |
I have the platinum also and love it// my first keurig quit working after 5 years/ I drink coffee out of it every day and also in the summer I drink the iced tea// I do use filtered water |
I have the Platinum as well. We've went through 3 of them, didn't realize Keurig replaced them until the more recent break. We had to pay $60 since it had been over a year since we had bought it and had to send in our K-cup. It was worth it to me, because I love these things so much! I'm not even a coffee drinker! I only use it for hot chocolate during the winter. I think that's why ours go out so often. I really should "Vinegar it" more often so the mineral deposits don't clog it. |

I just got some of the iced coffee last night. They also have some teas now. I haven't tried them but as soon as I get a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon in I am going to. I've seen peach & sweet. I'm sure theres more. |
