Don't Make fun of me...
 
DH and I finally made the plunge and upgraded to iPhones. I know that isn't a big deal for most...but for us it really is :pThey aren't here yet and I am so nervous. I am pretty tech minded but DH isn't. I forsee a lot of frustration on his part learning a new phone. He just in the last 2 years went from the old flip phone to a touch screen:D

YAY!!!!!!!!! It's going to take some getting used to but you're going to LOVE them!!!!!!!! :cheer:

Congrats!!! you will love them.

I think your Husband will be fine, they are not really all that hard to learn and use.

Good luck I have had a smart phone for years now. But dh still has a flip phone :). But the iPad is just like the iPhone. So because he has not worked in so long he is a pro at it. But at first was very frustrated. Lol. This will bring you one step closer to a iPad. :)

I love my iphone... I am on my 4th one I think (I just upgraded to 4s.. better price then the 5) and I have an ipad.

now.... the sad part is my dh. He has an iphone and he cusses at it every day.:eek: I say, lets get a different phone for you but does he listen:confused: NO...he goes and upgrades to another iphone:eek::mad: so I get to hear him talk to the phone all the time... things like "why the f*** did this phone do that????" lol

LOL I hope so...and it is all Lisa's fault if we hate them :D she has been ragging me to upgrade for two years now:D:p:rolleyes:;)

I love my computers, but I am determined to be the last person on the planet still holding on to a "dumb" phone. :D

Michelle, you guys are going to love them!! My Dh recently got an iphone. If he can do it ANYBODY can! He has done remarkably well considering he is not all the computer techy. :p My parents just got an ipad (which is an oversized iphone basically) and they are doing well with it too. I think they are very user friendly.

Haha I was just about to warn of that... Starts with the phone... Next you know it's the iPad then the Mac from there it's Apple TV and airports next thing you know you have your central heat and air along with lights controlled by your apple toys even :p

Actually, it's funny I say that because even though my mom has had an iPhone since they first came out DH and I show her something new about them every time we see her! LOL!
I love my iPhone, as does DH, I don't forsee us ever "going back" to something different. We find them to be very straight forward and easy to use but there are always new things to learn. Make sense?

I am right there with you on this. LOL

Heck I only just 2 yrs ago got the fast speed DLS, I didn't want to give up my dial up.LOL My hubby kept saying when are you going to change !! I keep thinking what the heck was I afraid of? Change, I hate change. I am very computer challenged.

You are bad, but I'm glad to know I am in good company resisting the smart phones. :D

If I spent more time away from home and on the go, I would get into the smart phone thing.

Haha! When I pull out my free Cingular phone (yes, my phone is so old, it has the name of a defunct company on it), people look at me like I am holding one of these:

Okay I had to Google "bag phone" to see what they were and guess what they still sell them. There is one listed for $399.00 on EBay.

Ha! Make fun of you? Get this - I have a Tracfone! I only use my cell in emergencies when out so I don't need all the gadgets or internet access. In fact, I would kind of resent being tracked down when I'm out and about - LOL. There are times I want to be on my own and not have to always be available to one and all, especially when out shopping or running errands. Anyway, as I don't have young kids or anything, I only need a phone to call for help if I have car trouble or the landline should ever go down. So I'm the last one to laugh at you.

I am the opposite, I would be lost without my cellphone. We did away with our landline about 5 years ago and I don't miss it at all. We do still keep a phone hooked up to the landline, because it will still work for 911 calls.
