Was watching Christmas movies with Tibbe in my lap & turned to the news, saw this story. Can hardly believe this. My heart and prayers go out to the families and friends of those so senselessly killed and injured today. Those poor little children! This kind of horror is devastating for any age but for children, our kids, to have to go through this is unthinkable. I also feel so bad also for the first responders who have to deal with the crime scene. From what I have heard, tragedy involving children is so hard on them, too, and is no longer a job but becomes truly personal. A crime such as this is so shocking and painful for all involved. A terrible tragedy for that community and our country. |

I have been following this story all morning - how tragic. My thoughts and prayers are out to those who lost loved ones and to those that have been traumatized by this horrific event. It just makes you wonder what kind of person would do something like this - what causes someone to go off the deep end and harm innocent people? |
This is so terrible I can not imagine who would do this because not only are children dead but all the children involved are going to have problems for probably the rest of there lives. I just want to cry for those poor babies and there family's. |

A job involving children is absolutely the worst kind for a first responder ... They have special psychologist on seen (when crimes are especially horrific) to not help with the victims but with any kind of unit like the fire department, paramedics, police, that will have to witness the absolute horror.... At least that is what they do in our area =( I imagine it would be the same in other places in the U.S. You said basically everything that I wanted to say. This is a terrible tragedy all around. They are changing it again The gunman, identified as Ryan Lanza, 24, was also found dead at the scene, a federal law enforcement official said. Lanza is the son of a kindergarten teacher at the school, reported WNBC's Jonathan Dienst. One of his parents was later found dead at a home in New Jersey. |
I have been reading about this story all morning...just heartbreaking! Those poor children...my god I can't even imagine the pain these families are going through. It makes me want to go get my daughter from school and never let her out of my sight again. It's ashame we have to be scared to let our children go to school..or go watch a movie..or go shopping! |
I sat down to lunch in our breakroom and saw it on the news. I cannot imagine the heartbreak and devestation for these families and this community. What is wrong with this world we live in :( |

Wow... It's bad enough you are 24 and want to kill your mother the woman that raised you but you decide to go into the school she teaches kindergarten and take out innocent children too??? That is just sick!! |

I can't stop crying about this and I want nothing more than to go to my oldest daughter's school and pull her out of her 2nd grade class and just hug her and hold her like crazy. I will wait the two more hours until she gets home. I think I can, anyway. I can not imagine the horror the parents of children at that school are feeling right now. Those poor, innocent babies! |
