| ![]() I had rotator repair surgery exactly one year ago. Its a looong road but the end result makes it all worthwhile.

| ![]() I've been to PT twice and I'm really getting worked over. I'm also doing therapy at home with bands. They used ultrasound for the pain this week. I can't remember what the method was called but it looked like a micro mini Tens unit. They put medication on a patch and put the patch on my shoulder and then turned on the unit. The unit sends the pain medicine into the shoulder. It worked better than the ultrasound. I don't want to go through surgery. Hopefully, with their help and my determination, I can avoid it. This place is a sports medicine gym. Just wish they wouldn't keep the TV on sports all the time. Lol Again, thanks to everyone that posted.

| ![]() That is great news Lila!! I saw my SIL today, she had her surgery last Thursday and is doing really well. I think they use that same treatment on her during therapy and she said it really helps with pain. She is down to only one pain pill at night now. I hope your therapy continues to help and you don't have to have surgery.

| ![]() I had torn rotator cuff surgery 3 weeks ago last Thursday. Painful? yes, but less pain after surgery than before..... just a different kind of pain but less I think the hardest thing is knowing you have limitations of things that you cant do.....Do not know if my age has bearing on this but i know when I overdo I get so tired and worn out. Hurts most after physical therapy when you do strengthening excercises. No lifting of any kind. , thats the hardest thing. Even doing dishes requires lifting, lol. Keep sense of humor it is difficult to feel like wounded bird! lol I will say I am not sorry I had surgery they were able to get rid of bone spurs and the catching feeling hurt everytime I moved arm. Maybe I am the exception my pain is less..... Hope this helps.

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | ![]() My ex had the surgery twice....wound up have the shoulder replaced! As far as I know he is still off work, has been for the past 8mths. Originally it was surgery followed by PT, for the 6years we were together he constanly complained of the pain...finally the doc said the shoulder needs to be replaced, it had deteriorated too badly to continue with the PT, so yet another surgery to now replace the shoulder completly. Still in pain...long road to recovery. I do hope you can avoid the surgery...its not an easy road to travel. Prayers that the PT works out for you.
