Hope everyone stays safe during this storm! Being from New Orleans, I don't like these storms. You never can tell where they're going or how they're going to act. Everyone will be in my prayers! |

I know - hope that dang storm stays way offshore! |
I sure hope everyone fairs well and that it misses NYC, just to many people...... I am from Long Island but now live in MI. However ALL my family is there. My 85 year old parents still live in the house that I grew up in, they are frantic and trying to prepare the best they can. My dad bought a generator about 6 months ago, we all though he was crazy since they never lose power, well looks like it might come in handy now. I just hope they can take the stress of it all. My sister lives on a canal on the southshore and this is the first year they decided to leave the boat in their well, hopefully it does not sink or come loose. It is nice to have the warning, but man just waiting and watching does take it's toll. |

On fb I have seen that some of our islands in Maryland are already flooding. I also heard the pier in Ocean City is gone. |

Ut oh! It's supposed to hit landfall just south of Atlantic City, NJ a bit later today. I'm in the center of the big orange blob on the weather map. I was doing good till it changed direction! I think I need to put the ThunderCoat on... starting to get nervous! (Pups are fine!) |
It's not TOO bad yet, but we are prepared!! My dad has a huge generator, he also has solar power, so we are ready to lose power. We are about 2 hours from Ocean City, which looks pretty bad!! |
Well DBF went to work. Stupid boss. . . . He drives to NJ for work. Normal drive is an hr. now I am stressed out |

Wow I am shocked companies are open and making people come to work, we might not take the storms as serious as we should here BUT they do shut down companies and schools in a heartbeat due to our bridges close as soon as wind picks up. |
I know I can't believe it either. My company sent an email last night saying offices were closed and to be safe. |
wow, that is bad, situation here in Nj is BAD, hubby is home, he worked yeseterday, he is home for the next two days, Thank GOD... |
I live on the Connecticut east shoreline and it's still quiet here. |
Im in NH and it's quiet here still for the most part, a little windy and slightly more than a mist .... supposed to pick up here later this afternoon. Not sure what time I'll be working until though. |
Yep, my DH was told to go in to work... the whole freakin state is closed, but those carpet deliveries gotta go out.... DUH! Where are they going to deliver them to...IDK! |

His boss doesn't think. She said Friday she will keep everyone in the loop. Then she text this morning and gave then orders what to do at work. . . . Not even sure if she went in. She just expects others to do it. |
Sorry I am venting. I am really worried about him |
As of 9 last night my dad's boss had not called off my dads work and he works in a tower crane in DC! |
Our governor finally declared a State of emergency. |
