| New Job Sooooo I got laid off Oct 4th and started a new job yesterday, the 17th. I just happened to hit the recruiter's office at the same time a position matching my skills came in. I'm in a 6 month contract to hire position for a local mortgage company. I feel VERY grateful to be back to work so quickly. On another note, I kind of wished I worked 6 hour days, that would be ideal! I was having a hard time staying home with no work to do except house work and I hate housework! LOL But 8 hour days are LONG! This job though just makes me miss my old one soooo much! I liked my last job and feel almost depressed that Im not there anymore. I think I am mourning it and taking it a lot harder than I thought I would have. I miss my coworkers, my friends, etc... this job I feel no real connection to anything yet. The technology is older, the manager is controlling and I don't see room for growth. I was told if they liked me they would offer me the perm position sooner than 6 months, but I am hoping to contract for the 6 months and probably leave. I don't think this is where I want to be. I hate only working for a paycheck.... and thats how I feel about this place. Buuuttttt.... its only day 2, so we'll see what happens.

| Thanks! Well this was kind of cool, president Obama is speaking live down the street from my job this morning. Had I not been here for work I wouldn't have known. So I got to take my lunch break and go down and see him and hear him talk. That was pretty cool!!!! It really messed up my commute this morning, but not many people can say that the president messed up their commute! LOL
