1 Attachment(s) Amazon.com: National Tree Company: Home & Kitchen In a regular lit room setting, the tree glows like a bright candle or something especially where those ornament things are and the star. It is so beautiful the way it shines and glows so deeply though you can't tell it from the picture. The colors are deep and jeweled, not washed out. And it sets up very easily. I plan to hide the ugly gold bucket base thing with little beautifully wrapped presents stacked up. NO SHIPPING FEE! |
I also LOOOOVE Christmas! Chad always says we cannot decorate until Dec 1, but I always sneak things in on Thanksgiving day. He loves Thanksgiving, so it's a little hard to do it before. Donna, I also believe that Christmas is a season. The weekend after New Years (maybe the second weekend, depending on when New Years is) is when I also take down my decorations. Your home is lovely. We have a 1 bedroom apartment ($1700! :() and have 2 trees. I'm thinking of getting a third this year for the bedroom so it can be more theme-related and spread out our ornaments since a lot were left in the box last year. I've already done most of my wrapping this year. I was so excited until I realized it wasn't even October yet...so what am I going to do for the next couple of months? Ah! I still can't wait though. |

I got my parents the nativity tree and bexause my wallet was stolen and cancelibg of my bank cards I forgot about the auto bill from Bradford Exchange...my parents never mentioned stopping receiving the sets, until recently. They missed the last 3 sets in the set up and now its retired. I've scoured eBay, Amazon, everywhere hoping to find them to finish their set this Christmaa. |
So already confirmed some plans for Xmas. Two good friends chatted with me today. Giving gift ideas, confirmation plans for dinners together etc. We share a nuts about Christmas thingie;) I am thinking about booking a surprise trip for us after Xmas-- still researching. Of course the pups will be with us; so I need pet friendly. I haven't yet selected our outdoor light motif. Hope to do that this weekend and convince hubby to set up those lights! |
I am so ready!! I just love the holiday season!! It doesn't last long enough for me... after Halloween, it just goes so quickly! I like to take advantage. |
i just saw on TV that the Macy's in the area had a celebration a few nights ago with fireworks announcing the arrival of Santa, apparently he is now set up ready to meet kids for overpriced photos. I love Christmas a lot, but I am sorry, the day after Halloween and Santa arrives at the department store is just ridiculous |
Wow Donna...I have to agree with you on that one....Santa doesn't arrive here til after the Santa Clause Parade! Nov. 17th I believe this year. |
I did my final lawn mow of the season today and chopped down all the dead plants...tidying up...getting ready to get the Christmas outdoor decorations out soon. I'd love to get the outdoor lights up while the weather is still okay. |
Went to do that today as well...too dang cold! Only 2 degrees C here...nope sorry to cold to be working in the yard...you know the pups loved it out there though! One heck of a time getting them back in! |
I'm now in Thanksgiving mode. Wonder when the Christmas bug will bite me. I still haven't figured out what I'm gonna do for Tessa's Christmas Card Exchange! *** Btw, if you haven't signed up yet and would like to join in on the fun, click HERE! *** |

Have you all seen the new Macy's Christmas TV commercial with the B&W "Miracle On 34th Street" Macy's Santa Claus, Edmund Gwenn, in all or most of the scenes? He's still in B&W just like in the original movie, interacts and talks to the others. |
I have managed to wait this long without turning on Christmas carols yet! I have been tempted, but I will wait until next week when Remembrance Day is over. I've waited this long, another few days won't hurt! Two nights ago we found a good deal on outdoor LED lights. Some people had moved to a new house and were selling all the lights from their old house so they could start new. They had 7 strings of 70 lights each - 490 lights :D I feel a good old fashioned Griswold family Christmas coming on!!! LOL just kidding... we sold the rest of our lawn decorations over the summer, so the decor will be a little simpler this year! |

We live on the top floor of an apartment complex and have no outlets on our balcony. Is there a way I can still put up lights? :( |

Do you have a porch light? You can buy an extender thing for a light bulb... you screw the bulb into this other thing, and then screw that into the light socket. The extender should have two electrical outlets on it :) that's what I used when I lived in an apartment, and we actually still use them for the Christmas lights on the roof line. |

I was going to suggest the same thing. I had to use one my first year at my wee house, before I had all new electrical run the following summer. I bought my adapter at my local ACE Hardware store. |
