What was I thinking??? I have a 5 yr old son who is in LOOOOVE with Gorillas including King Kong. Well, the movie opens on the 14th which is tomorrow. I really out did myself this time. I bought tickets for the 11:59pm show tonight. I made the mistake of telling my son this this afternoon. He is sitting on my kitchen table as I type this watching the clock. He is going to tell me when it's time to go to see the movie. This is gonna be a LOONG night for the both of us..lolol..I hope i survive for the next 4 hours or so...what was I thinking when I decided to do this???!!!... Oh, he is in Kindergarten but I am gonna call him off tomorrow. Am I nuts?

i applaud your love for your son. my son didnt' start going to bed before 11/1130 until he started kindergarden. most of the other mommies think i'm nuts that he stays up until 930. he's an only child also and i used to be a late night girl. he gets it from me! and when you get back you can give us a kong review from a mommy of a child the same age as mine! yay!!

Awww..thanks for the posts ladies..it will definitely add to our memories. The movie is 3 hrs long. it drug on for the first hour and a half. There were some scarey violent parts but the deal was I would cover his eyes at the 'parts NOT for kids' and will make sure he gets to see all the Kong parts. WOrked like charm except for the first hour and a half My hand was over his eyes..lololol. My son was glowing in the theater watching Kong. He was HUGE. I had to excuse myself at the last 20 min of the movie where he gets shot down from the Empire State Building. I cry at that part EVERYTIME. THat' why I hate watchign it..i was sobbing..Kong looked so real with feelign and emotion I lost it..lololol..I was so embarassed. Anyway, my little man is in bed dreaming of Kong I'm sure. It's definitely a great movie. Cool computer animation. Some parts a little over the top and some parts a little more violent than I would like but that' what hands are for..to cover the eyes..lolol. I'm off to bed, thankfully i'm off tomorrow. I'll be sleeping in! Hugs to all the mommies out there!!! Irene
