Anyone do the new io6 update yet?

I update both iPads and my iPhone. Have messed with the Sirus a little. Did change some of my apps. But so far no issues I hope they figure the maps out I do like using them when I travel.

I'm the kind of clutz that will accidentally activate Siri all the time. As it is, I hit the home button twice all the time, and I have no idea I'm doing it until the play button pops up at the top of my screen. I'm technologically challenged.

I have updated both my iPad2 and iPhone 4S and LOVE the updates. If you have issues trying to download them, it's because the "waves" are so busy during the evenings (especially) with everyone trying to download the iOS6 update. It will time you out more than once. If you can download during the day, you're better of . Just because you get a phone with Siri doesn't mean you have to use her but she is a pretty smart and FUNNY woman. She can come up with some really off the wall responses, depending on what you ask her. I didn't see many new apps with the release but saw a lot of improved functionality with the iOS update. LOVE LOVE the enhancements on the camera and emails. MAPS worked fine for me when I needed it to get me somewhere. It wasn't a straight shot, but it would have gotten me there maybe a couple minutes later that what I'd planned. I get every iOS update that comes out and have never had any issues. Still can't figure out how to use Siri. I double clicked the home button and it just brought m e back to the the swipey screens. wth?

you can disable Siri if you wanted to. She doesn't have to be turn on lol.

i for one love the new iOS 6...there will always be something that you don't like about new updates but then of course there will be things that "wows" you. i am a tech geek and there was quite a few things that "wowed" me lol

Siri is only available on the newest iPad.... Not the original or the ipad2, even with the updated software.

And I don't double click, I hold down my home button to get in touch with her.

Can you tell I'm just not into all the new technology? I just want something that works. Why mess with it if its working fine? If I wanted an update, I'd buy the latest and greatest phone, computer, tv.... You get the idea. The old iOS worked fine. It gave me what I wanted, no, what i needed out of my phone, and now that function does not work. How am I going to direct needy families to the nearest food bank when work won't update their network (I think we're still running windows 95 ) I heavily rely on my phone to play that necessary role for me. Now it doesn't work. My 3G has been in and out since the update. It's just so frustrating.

I updated and like it. I have the 4g i think or 4gs

while dh was asleep i updated his 3gs. He was not happy. It changed his icon. He hates any change. He has only in the last 6 months started using his bank card at the check out instead of cash. We had to drag him kicking and screaming to online banking. He does not have the friend finder. My dd and i use it. So now i know if she is at home or not before i call.

I do have the ipad3 and when I finished updating it asked me if I wanted to use Suri and I said yes. No other mention of her since.

I like it so far. I'm happy there's finally a clock app for the iPad. That was long overdue. And watching my buddy in Europe use Apple maps (which I guess is the default over google maps here), I'm sold on iMaps. It may not be as powerful, but it's pretty and easy to use. Just like everything apple makes.

I hate Siri, turned her off after she couldn't map "Jones Street and 8th Street" for me in NY. She kept saying she couldn't find a business by the name. Yes, because it is an intersection in one of the best known cities on earth, SIRI. DUH.

Don't double click just hold the button down and it should pop up

So far the only difference I have seen is the clock! I read about the flyover maps, how can I access it?

After the update I can no longer log into yahoo mail! I can log into yahoo but just not mail, and only on the iPad. I contacted yahoo and they said to use another browser. It's not the browser, it's the update!
